  • Is this a good camera? Anyone can give some review or anything?

  • Great find. Grabbed one as my ~5yr old Canon 720IS has started playing up. Generally positive reviews and nice set of features for whats a very low price. $110 delivered for me inclusive of CC surcharge.

    Thanks OP. :-)

  • It uses 4 X AA battery. How will the life of it be? that's my main concern

    • +4

Using AA batteries is a plus. You can keep spares Eneloop on hand and continue shooting. Eneloops are frequently on special - you are not force to buy overpriced batteries from the manufacturer.

      • Agree. The main drawback is space vs lithium batteries but using standard AA batteries is definitely a plus in my book.

    • Buy a couple packs of eneloop batteries.

    • I have had a Fuji with AA before and life was ok.

I wouldnt take it as a plus personally. You may be able to grab some Nimh rechargables but really i have bought aftermarket li-ion for my cameras for about the same price as a set of AA anyway. (originals can be really expensive)

Downside with AA is size and weight. Makes the camera bigger and they weigh a heap.

      Deal is good though.

      • Anyone know if this can take the Kodak Li on crv3 as replacements? They're brilliant in my experience

        • Aren't they around $20 each and not rechargeable?

        • There are rechargeable varieties available on ebay for about $20 with a charger.

          http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Kodak-K8500-C-KLIC-8000-Li-Ion-Ra…

Having a look at the hole the battery goes into I don't know if these will fit, they're slightly different shape than 2 AAs and the contacts are only on one side (not a problem with Kodak Cameras

It's also worth noting that as a bridge camera this doesn't have F-stop (aperture) or shutter priority modes which is a downer if you are into manual functions.

  • TWO for me
    nice present

  • +2

Bought one, $110.13 delivered w/ cc surcharge. Thanks OP!
Now to go find a decent price on Eneloops and an SD card.

  • hmm.. strongly considering this. But am not camera savy enough yet to understand if this is a good deal or not :/

  • +1

am in same boat as you @teehee but good reviews listed by others got me buying one.

    thanks for posting.

  • +1

I'm on my way to hiedelberg right now to buy one :)

  • +1

Looks like the only neg is processing speed, which may be overcome by a better quality/speed SD card.. Ordered one anyway - the last one has a dead battery that will cost more than the camera to replace! :(

  • +1

This offer ends at midnight guys, don't forget the other stuff on the same list.

How much is the shipping cost? Why I got $118 delivered instead of ~$110?

    • Hi MLN,

Is there any available in stock? Will it be delivered before 15 of January 2013?

  • What class SD card would be required for this camera?

    • +1

Any class will work. I have a 550D DSLR (looking to upgrade to the 650D next time they are on sale..) and i require a class 6 sd card for full HD video recording, but any will work for photos. General rule of thumb, higher the class, the faster you are able to save a photo.

Just pick up a class 10. Friend got a 16GB sandisk extreme class 10 from jb hifi the other day for $20. I got mine from shopping express a few months ago for the same price when it retailed for over $80. They are cheap as (memory) chips these days..

  • How can I get for $118 including $19 deliver and no paypal payment.

  • Store had no stock so I left a $50 deposit and returning at 8m when stock arrives.

    • How is lexar compared to sandisk in terms of performance and quality?

      • pretty awesome

  • +2

Would welcome a link to a good deal on a decent class 10 (or better) SD. Dunno if anyone knows a decent case that'd fit this too?

    Thanks in advance. :-)

  • I bought one at the west melbourne store! Oh mannn did they have some bargains! Spent over $900

  • It's a good camera! I got one earlier this year and it still works great. Prob one of the better cameras samsung has made without killing your wallet:)

  • i still have the Sandisk 4gb USB drives from MLN on my desk now, they were $1 at boxing day 2 years ago! :O

  • +1

    Sold.

    Ordered.

    Thanks OP :-)

  • Live Panorama future of this camera makes attractive to me.

  • deliveries should be ok, this year no website crashes, and this weekend and new years eve and new years day is the only days off in between. So I think by the 3rd of Jan it should be all good.
We have served a record amount of customers and sales today, and no website crashes and still 4.5 hours to go. I am surprised you guys at Ozbargain have not picked up on the other deals we have going.

    • Hi MLN, can you make all for $110 include deliver? Why some get $110 and some $118?

      • +1

        I used credit card

        Sub-Total (inc GST): $99.00 AUD
        Shipping: $9.00 AUD
        Surcharge: $2.13 AUD
        Total (inc GST): $110.13 AUD

        • +2

Thanks, shipping for me is $19.00.

  • Got one.

    cost 120.32 with credit card.
how come some people getting for 10$ less?

    • Shipping discount depending on what you buy.

  • I also bought this one as well…:)
    Thanks for sharing this deal.

  • Sorry for being noob, but how does this compare to an dslr for closer shots?

    • It's cheaper.

Great camera, though i am not about to tell you it is AS GOOD as a full SLR.

      • Cheers. I fully acknowledge their two different items so appreciate any answer. Looking the the video zoom on the video river above and I think I'm sold. Sorry again for the n00b question.

  • Great Price, should be good to test :)

  • Bought this from the west melb store. Has anyone had an issue with the function knob coming off? Mine comes off so easily its like theres no glue on it all.

  • +1

    grey import?

  • Does anyone know the max capacity of memory card it can take?

  • Anyone with this yet able to comment on processing times? Or just time between shots? Interested to know if it is affected by card speeds..

  • +1

Already received mine - delivered just before 8am this morning.. So much for the 1-3 January estimated delivery date! :)

    • I wish mine was here!!! Im assuming you are from melb?

      • Yep. Oh, and it came with batteries - 4x Duracell Ultra's.

        • the verdict.. how is the camera!? let us know! :D

Was it sent via express or standard?

        • +1

Seems OK so far, only using the internal memory though - arrived a bit earlier than I'd expected…. :P

Might have to run out a bit later and pickup an SD card to test it a bit better.

And standard shipping - whatever the $9 option was. lol

  • +2

Wow what a big suprise I recieved my new Samsung WB100 today already from Star Track
Thank you www.mln.com.au i did not expect to be that fast :D I am so happy

    • +1

Yup; there was a box sitting on my bed when I got home. Had a play around with it and I'm very happy with it. Comes with 4x Duracell Ultra Batteries, Lens cap w/ lanyard, Shoulder strap, micro-b usb to usb cable.
Still figuring out how to take more than 18 second videos, but I assume that's because I'm using internal memory :)
      Thanks MLN!

      • +1

Yeh, it has 52MB of internal memory, you'll need an SD card.

FYI: Dick Smith have the rainbow Eneloops 8 pack for $20, and all of their camera bags are marked down.

        • Yeah I've got that 32gb SDHC card linked above on the way, and 4 x Eneloops/Charger (also linked above) on hold. "On hold" meaning they had one left and put it 'away' for me but can't find it again. Made sure I got a raincheck on the price in any case.

        • The Aldi LSD AA's have been decent at around $6 a pack.

  • I bought some of these
    http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/76571

Tunigy AA LSD 2400mAh LSD Battery $1.59each = $19.69 AUD delivered for 8x AA.

I'm thinking.. maybe I'll just buy a cheap charger off EBAY. :-} By the way the picture quality with this camera is awesome.

  • This morning I went to pick up my $249 Samsung TV which i bought from this thread http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/88917
I saw jbhifi having 20% discount on Sandisk memory cards
