        we are not at the beach - we are just a little underwhelmed with the boxing day sales…
        you guys have been campaigning so hard over the last couple of months (which we have really benefited from), however its really taken the edge off these current sales… I refer to all retailers - not just flingshot

          When I said everyone was at the beach, I was referring to our suppliers, hence why we had to wait until the start of Jan for more stock to arrive. I was also kind of joking. ;)

          I must concur with the findings of the good doctor here in that the boxing day sales have been spectacularly underwhelming this year IMHO.

          I also couldn't go to the beach coz the weather was shit in Newy, so I could sure do with one of those hugs klevster! :)

      No unfortunately not as they are drop shipping direct from Hong Kong I believe. We ship into Australia and then on ship to the customer which adds a little to the price. But it means you get it next day from us. We are looking into a drop shipping option in the near future though.

    I got two Verbatim 16g USB sticks for $22 from flingshot in November, so $9 is a great price. They took a little while to arrive, but I am very happy with them. I also ordered a FitBit One just before Christmas and it arrived very quickly - within a few days. So, from my point of view, I've had good experiences with flingshot.

    Correct me if I'm wrong…
    But they state USB3.0 to be 10x quicker than 2.0…
    Yet they're rating this USB stick at a Write Speed of only 10MB/s!!!
    So it should take a little over a minute & a half to transfer a 1GB file onto this stick?
    Like I said, correct me if I'm wrong… But isn't that only just above the speed of a half decent 2.0 stick?

    edit: Ps. Don't get me wrong… Either way it's still quicker and a pretty good deal!!!

      I think in the previous deal people were posting real world speeds that were faster than that. Like most specs there is usually an up to before any multiplier. There are USB 3 flash drives that come close to the theoretical max of USB 3 but they are expensive and are going to require a pretty well specced machine to test on.

      In case this helps, here's what I'm pretty sure flingshot will tell you:

      1. As long as your payment clears (i.e. not bank transfer) it'll be sent tomorrow and arrive on Monday (they shouldn't have as much backlog tomorrow as they have today now that the USB3 sticks have sold out)

      2. Yes, Australian Business with ABN (For TRS you'll need to ensure that they meet all the criteria - ask flingshot to confirm)

      I don't think they plan to get anymore Verbatims. Lexar is the replacement - faster, but more expensive.

    Received my 32GB Lexar USB 3 drive today, thanks FS for another great deal =)

    Ran a quick 4GB test on my laptop USB 2 port, results are good (haven't got any USB 3 ports handy):

    Only 4096 of 30524 MByte tested.
    Test finished without errors.
    Writing speed: 21.1 MByte/s (3:13 mins/secs)
    Reading speed: 26.8 MByte/s (2:35 mins/secs)
    H2testw v1.4
