    This is for Groupon USA?

Do I need a US address to sign up?

    • +1 vote

      Yeah, Groupon USA.

My AU address + credit card worked fine.

      • +1 vote

        Yup just bought one. Thanks!

Thanks for this - worked fine and happily renewed/transferred some domains.

While GoDaddy might not be everyone's cup of tea, I can't beat them for my .es domains.

I think I guessed one of your domains from your username ;)

sorry, just a silly question, why do some people hate go daddy?

    • +4 votes

Haven't used them in a long time.
While there cheap I find there site hard to navigate and is full of adverts.
Also once signed up for a $10 a year domain and the following year they charged me $25, and I thought hang on I agreed to $10 and never herd of this $25. Luckily after complaining they refunded me.

      Also check out

      or google
      https://www.google.com.au/search?q=why+people+hate+godaddy&o...

There is also many more people seem to be complaining about their hosting.

    • +3 votes

Because they are known to shut down peoples domains + their hosting account from just simple violations. E.g. if someone sends a letter to GoDaddy complaining about your domain e.g. "You're hosting a bad site and I will sue you if you continue to host them", GoDaddy will shut you down. They have also done other dodgy things in the past. The best registrar imo is namecheap, not only are they cheaper, but they have better support.

Thanks for the coupon, I needed to renew (got an email this morning) so this worked out well :)

Can this be used on Godaddy Auctions? I often buy some cheap closeout domains so this would be handy.

Can this be used on every product?

  •

"Expires Feb 27, 2013" does that mean I can use the coupon until that date? and can it be used more than once? For example I have a domain now that needs renewing but I might choose to renew or buy a domain in a few weeks from now, can I use the remaining credit then?

    •

yep , you have up until 27 feb to redeem at http://www.godaddy.com/redeem/groupon.aspx

But i think once you redeem, the credit doesnt expire ??

      •

need to make sure this one, can anyone confirm, once we redeem, how long do we have for the credit to get expire?

        •

best thing is to ask godaddy , i cant find any documentation of this
usually on groupon, the expiry date refers to the redemption of coupon
once you redeem the coupon, the credit on godaddy should stay valid unless they put a restriction on that too

        •

Yeah, I also needed to know about this too.

      •

I got one in-store credit on 12/09/2012 from GoDaddy for the intermittent service outages they experienced on September 10. The expiry date is 2 years, so i am not sure if that would be applied to Groupon credit?

  •

    •

      •

I've used GoDaddy for years.. everyone complains of their service but the guys working their 24 hours phone line have always been helpful; for the price I really don't think they do so wrong.

44% off renewals is a great deal in its own right. Normally godaddy coupons are 10 or 15% for renewals, with the big discounts for new domains and extras.

Coupon and codes worked perfectly. Saved me heaps on domain renewals. Thank you

Coupon for 3: $.99 domains on Godaddy. Don't know when it expires.
    Use: CJC99D

Just renewed 14 domains. Paid like 75 in the end. That is just so cheap for renewels!
Code and Groupon worked 100% YAY :D
    Thanks for the savings.

Yes, Godaddy have had issues and the ads are annoying, but they are cheap.
I prefer to be the the largest domain provider.
I was tempted by namecheap but they still are just a reseller of enom.com.

I would never host my website with GoDaddy as they support the US bill for giving all the power to US president to kill the internet. Also they are FOR censoring the internet. For the same reason many big blogs/artists/activists/companies have taken their business to other hosts.

    • +1 vote

I would not host my site with them either. But for cheap and decent domains and renewals I have never had an issue. Also they have a decent DNS service. They built themselves from nothing to the world's biggest domain provider.

I've had domains with Godaddy since 2002.

Has anyone tried buying more than one?

  •

    Added a new coupon

I just bought this deal, but i couldn't find a place for me to redeem it.. can anyone be so kind to help…

i had follow the instruction :
    1) Visit http://www.godaddy.com/redeem/groupon.aspx
    2) Select All Products, Domains, and Domain Registration.

After that, i can only find a box to place in the GoDaddy Coupons… and it seems like i can only fit 1 coupon for my lumpsump purchase (including webhosting, domain renewal , and buying new domain names)

if i click next page to checkout, i can only see the Gift Card box…

I cannot find any "Groupon Redemption Code" field for me to fill in my groupon code.

can anyone be so kind to help, please… thank you
