A good beginner surf board for anyone who has always wanted to ride a wave but has never made the time… AKU Machine shaped and designed PU surfboard, Two layers of 6oz fiberglass on deck and one layer 6oz fiberglass on bottom, High glossing polished for long life.

    Or if you know standing up on one of these things just isn't going to happen, there's also some cheap Body Boards.

      This would be me! Way to unco to stand up on a surfboard.
      It's a very nice surfboard though, for those who are talented enough to do it.

        They are bloody easy to paddle and to stand up on, and it doesn't take a big wave to do it. Its the easiest way to get hooked on surfing for a beginner.

    Hold onto the warranty. At this price you can bet that it's machined in China or Thailand, not hand shaped in Oz by someone that can actually swim. The padded bag would be suitable for short trips only most probably. Rediculous price though for a beginner or holiday warrior.

    Anyone know if this bodyboard is any good for an adult? Doesn't seem to have fins …

    EDIT: rang guy at shop - he seemed to think that fins "only help you go in a straight line" and that without them they are more maneuverable. I had to look up the spelling for the word 'maneuverable'.
