Best bet is picking a cheap Tiger flight within 1hr of a Jetstar flight.
Then call Jetstar & get them to price beat by 10% (and there's no credit card fees either).This worked a treat so thankyou for the information, really appreciate it!

A terrible time of year to be looking for cheap flights, and you're also way too late to pickup a discount. You need to book months in advance if you want to pickup cheaper flights, or looking at off peak times (ie NOT school holidays). You could go tiger who would probably be the cheapest, but after my last flight with them I have sworn never again. Virgin blue would be my pick and choose a flight very early in the morning.
