scanning is also good.
for the price you cant go wrong however i did see JB run a promo where if you bought a printer u can get 50% of a set of full inks.

Agree that the Canon cartridges seem to be really small. I don't like that they are now black instead of clear. I used to check the cartridge ink levels before tossing them and often I could stretch them further, but now there is no way of telling. They need to go back to the clear cartridges. The 525 & 526 cartridges sell out quicker than my last printer and the cheaper outlets are usually out of them. I have to go back several times to get my cartridges so I can't just have one of each, I need several in storage or else pay top dollar when I need them. They've also put the price up recently at Big W. Otherwise I like my Canon printer, but its a different multifunction. Its just not as strong as the older models I used to have.

Also, before you buy check ink price, size of cartridges (ie. how many pages), and if generic cartridges are available. Unless printing photos, generics are fine and cost a fraction of genuine cartridges.

JB was doing this before for $119.20. You can walk in and pick it up to save shipping, or it was cheaper shipping from them
