    Just make sure you have heaps of room. I have about 3m by 3m and it still needs more for alot of games

      yea..you will need at least 4m by 4m for 2 and above players. Having say that, my room available space is 2.5m and still playable.

          It works ok for me! It allows me to stand approximately an extra 1m closer to the Kinect sensor when playing.

      Just be aware that the old white 'FATS' can be prone to RROD when a Kinect is added due to the very high extra load placed on it regarding heat production in the GPU. Add extra fans or similar to help. The no lead solder used under the chips is the problem. I have had 2 die from this problem.

      This pack should come with the power pack for the fats but check to make sure.

        Oh really? Damn. I've got an old fat one, never had a RROD (touch wood) but wouldn't really want to cause one due to getting kinetic! Also found with the space requirements my lounge room isn't very big, it's wide but I'm only 1.5-2m from the tv. Think I'll have to give this a miss!

    1 week too late I got it from eb for $99 and got Kinect Adventures and Sport… i guess they might be worth more as games, but i just wanted the sensor anyway… plus mine is white… not sure what the difference is with the black and white…anyone know or it is simply the colour?

      Same here. Was tempted to return to EB but figure the 3 months Gold live card is worth $30 anyway, which this one doesn't have.

      Also Kinect Sports is such a good game. My 3yo loves the bowling game.

    some of the earlier 360 models have no kinect slot so make sure first :>

      Wrong!! The earlier ones had no special slot but they work using the back usb and a power pack.

      If you have the old 360 you need to plug it into a power point as well. If you have the slim both cables go into the 360.

    gunstringer is boring. kinect adventures is a rad first game to play with kinect, it is like 'omg this is f'n awesome'

    Well, just received a call from Greensborough store, my order is cancelled as there was an 'error' in the system … what a surprise. The order was accepted and proceeded through the system, but there you go!!

    Update (after some searching) .. found one near a relative's place and it was the last one there. Fingers crossed that one goes ahead. Answer … No.

      As far as I know Kinect will bring you one-month free of charge xBox live account ( Gold Account). And you will start from there without any problem with any game even one month later because your account will automatically downgrade to basic and you still have an account!

      Picked one up from glen waverley today. I don't have a "gold" subscription, but you can download the games without it. The kinect comes with kinect adventures on disc, 2 codes (for gunstringer & fruit ninja) and no 1 month gold subscription.

      Frankly I think MS owes me a free lifetime gold subscription, since my first xbox had 3 RRODs; 'sif I'd ever voluntarily give M$ any more money (yes, apart from this kinect…) The only reason I went and bought another xbox is that I needed to complete ME3 with all my previous saves. I'm hoping the novelty value of the kinect will last at least a week!

    Yep picked one up. No "error" occurring, it was marked as clearance stock with the tag saying $79.

    Did a click and collect from Maitland, NSW, was told they have stock left and Green Hills store also said they had plenty. Almost bought one at EB for $99, glad i waited for this :D

    Word of advice for anyone with an original 360 with the 20gb hard drive- these games need 4.1gb. Luckily I stocked up on 16gb USB from Flingshot which make perfect storage units :)
