nowhere on that site does it show member benefits for signing up? not OP's fault but a major failing of coffee club, for those interested: http://www.coffeeclub.com.au/vip-club/
Unlike other loyalty programs, The Coffee Club’s VIP Club gives you fantastic benefits as soon as you join.
DID YOU KNOW … the average VIP Club member saves more than $400 per year!Show your VIP Club card when you place an order in-store and get:
Buy one, get one FREE (for all hot drinks) all day, everyday – see Terms and Conditions 10% off the price of all food and other drinks on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays – see Terms and Conditions The chance to win amazing prizes every month. At the end of every month, VIP Members will automatically be put into a draw to win one of eight x $100 The Coffee Club Cash vouchers, just by visiting The Coffee Club (and swiping your card). Winners are chosen at random. Remember – you MUST swipe your card to go into the draw! Discounts and special offers from your local store. The VIP Club membership is only $25 a year (which you’ll quickly make back in free coffees); this includes your very own personalised membership card.Probably a good deal for only $12.50 if you've got a coffee club nearby.
yashverma01 on 05/01/2013 - 12:54 ¶thanx sk3iron for detailing. i have 2 coffee club near by my home n work lolz.
woodvaliens on 05/01/2013 - 13:03 ¶I use my card to get coffees at the store near my work in Perth WA, and they allow you to get up to four coffees at one time (Buy two, get two free), so you can help your work mates too with this deal (Or tell them that the coffee was still $4.90 each and make the cost of your card back quickly)
woodvaliens on 05/01/2013 - 13:36 ¶We get the Large Takeaway for that price, even when we are sitting in. I am fairly sure you get a better deal on the take away size in a paper cup compared to eat in price in porcelain cup. I think the pricing will be the same Australia wide, isn't it?
-1 votewoodvaliens on 05/01/2013 - 13:00 ¶I was sent my renewal notice for my Coffee Club card last week, but was going to wait until closer to expiry (when you renew before expiry they take away the couple of weeks you have remaining on your existing card), but I just went in now to renew using this code, and it works for renewals as well as new members.
My wife and I go into our local coffee club store at Hillarys WA(Whitfords shopping centre WA) twice weekly and we think that this card card has been great, not just for the buy one get one free Hot Choc (That we get), but through the week you get 10% food too.
Further to this, when you do renewal, you get the option to gift a card to a freind, they then sell you the cards for $20 each, so I assume if you go for the two cards they will checkout for $10 each with this code.
Thanks for this heads up OP, great deal for me.
Also of note, though they say you can use your card number as soon as you checkout online, and they have provided you with your member number, I did find that our local store at Hillarys WA refused to accept this and offer any discounts until we could present the physical card, no other store we tried rejected the member number, but Hillarys do for sure, and I ended up talking with the South African owner of that franchise the day after, and he stated that they can choose not to accept the member numbers without a card, so they do, and did not care if we did not come back. (So Don't expect that you will get the discount at just any store, but don't be put off by a refusal at one store, there are plenty of other staores that want you to become a regular, just not Hillarys WA, and I am sure there will be others as well)
-1 votewoodvaliens on 05/01/2013 - 13:46 ¶I understand that most stores (Except Hillarys WA) accept the member number without the card within two weeks of the member being created (As you would not have the card yet). I do not think that you can just go in with just the member number for the term of the card, though some stores may of course.
I know that our local Joondalup WA store also does coffees for $2 on any size for Police Officers and Saint Johns Ambo staff when they are in Uniform (No card needed), I see these guys there all the time. Not that I see anything wrong with that, these people are doing a great service to our community, and it is good to see them being thanked in this way by one of our local stores. It makes me want to spend my money with the Joondalup franchise knowing that they do this.
+1 voteThat's not on. You do get a confirmation email that states:
You will receive your new Membership Card within 10 working days.In the meantime, you can already start enjoying the benefits of VIP Membership just by printing and presenting this letter at any store.
Hence, they cannot refuse to honour the membership if you show the email letter.
woodvaliens on 05/01/2013 - 13:37 ¶I covered that in my reply above about getting take aways while at work, so yes.

Hi,
I remember:
http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/68157Hope Coffee Club "honour" this deal.
Username3RR0r on 05/01/2013 - 13:51 ¶From the Terms & Conditions:
"•buy one hot beverage get one free of lesser value,"So I buy a Medium and get a small free etc.?
Better than nothing, but I would prefer to get one of equal value.
rightiomate on 05/01/2013 - 15:06 ¶I found the T&C's as below:
"8. The VIP CLUB BENEFITS provided are:
(a) buy one hot beverage get one free of equal or lesser value"
Username3RR0r on 05/01/2013 - 20:28 ¶How strange, I'm glad that it's of equal value then.
What I quoted was from the link on the sign-up page though.
+1 voteNo, it's buy one, get one of equal size free.
I've been a member for 2 years now. You can use multiple times per day across multiple Coffee Clubs.
We buy 16 a day between us at work (8 of us get two each most days) and we have 2 cards between us. The cards paid for themselves within a week!
In Brisbane CBD (Post Office Square) George the franchise owner charges $4 for his large coffees so your big coffees only cost you $2 each technically. Bargain!
Just don't go to Chermside - they charge $5.90 for the same thing!

Bonzbargain on 05/01/2013 - 16:50 ¶Cheap average coffee is surely better than no coffee at all, code works and grabbed it, thanks! :)
-1 votesupabrudda on 05/01/2013 - 17:54 ¶Ive no one in Melb has commented.
Exepensive coffee & food at over inflated prices.
Oh & both are terrible! But then again its a Brizvegas owned franchise….;-)Let the neg'ing begin!
+1 votethefoxman88 on 05/01/2013 - 18:30 ¶Worked for me, but when you enter in your "Personal Message" you can't have "Love me some Bacon!" it doesn't like the ! so it was only "Love me some Bacon" but still worth it
azndragon168 on 06/01/2013 - 01:59 ¶Worked for me. Thanks OP.
FYI - code doesn't work on mobile site, only on the full site.

It would probably be best if you contact them on 1300 843 258.
Apparently existing members receive a personalised renewal E-mail.

woodvaliens on 06/01/2013 - 18:05 ¶Regarding how to do a renewal on their site:
You get an email about 2 months before expiry, it gives you a link that is for your membership number only, that link is for your renewal (The link contains your user name, and a unique code that is not your member number), the email also states that you can ring to renew earlier if you wish…
-1 votelynnckelly on 06/01/2013 - 10:37 ¶I've tried to join on there web page & typed in "half price" but does not work.
What am I doing wrong?
+1 voteI loathe the Coffee Club and it's clientele, at least my local (Brisbane CBD & Inner Suburbs) Coffee Club's… they appear to be a store where bogan's go so they can feel cultured.
Support your local coffee guy/gal and enjoy a delicious cup of coffee for a little more (or quite a bit less if you go in a happy hour) as opposed to a crap tasting cup of coffee from a horrible chain of stores. Their food is nothing to write home about either, over priced and bland.
Great deal provided by OP if you like this place though none the less.

good deal if you like dreadful coffee
