Boo cnet and their spyware, they need to die already.

  • Its a "special edition", so it'll probably keep reminding you to upgrade to version 4, still, free software is free software. Too bad its PhotoDirector though, I use Lightroom for photos, but wouldn't mind getting PowerDirector for movies.

  • Cool, thanks OP, got it!

  • There's nothing wrong with cnet spyware.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=68LOWc-plpw

  • Picasa is also free and no spyware… probably.

Well, its Google, so they probably harvest all the information they can get about your photos, for use in advertising later.

Picasa is actually a very good program for organizing photos, and supports RAW images, but its editing isn't as good as many other programs.

  • How does this compare to lightroom?

cnet: now on your Xbox 360!

    (no, really)

  • anyone has direct link to download?

    • You will need a key to use the program.

Link: Cyberlink Photodirector 3 (Free Giveaway)

    • No point in downloading this directly, you will still need to go via CNet to get the activation key.

      • True, but if you already got the key, but forgot to download the product, you can use this link rather than going through again. Getting a key only requires name and email, and both can be fake, there aren't any confirmation emails. But if anyone wants it, heres a spare key:

Where do I get the key? The direct link doesn't work now.

    • Go to the CNet link posted by the OP. There's a "Get It Now" Green button. You will need to fill in your details to get the activation key.

    • The link works fine. Try again.

Is it a good program anyway?

  • Does anyone who uses Picasa think this is better?

  • I downloaded this and it tells me that it is Windows only, not for Mac.
A pity as it could be good to it compare to Aperture and LR4.

  • This is a good deal. I've tried almost all the photo management apps, and I use Picasa for my quick sorts and quick fixes. Lightroom is my next best tool, for the power jobs. This Cyberlink PhotoDirector is almost as good as Lightroom, in fact its almost a complete copy of Lightroom.

At the price of free, that makes it even better! Get Picasa for free, and this for free, and your sorted!

  • Total lemon on my XP system. Spends forever loading, and bogs down the entire system while it's doing it.
    off to uninstall.

    • Yup PoS won't even install on my Windows 3.1 486, back to ProImage Plus we go.

  • I use picasa and love it, have been using it for a few years, handles everything very well and has good integration with G+ and Picasaweb.

How is this better than picasa, has anyone used this and Picasa, and still thinks this is better.
    Thanks
