Celebrate the Year of the Snake with family and friends in the Chinese Garden of Friendship.

There's something for everyone from cooking to art to dance. Click below for more information and to book these special activities in the Garden.

Plus don't miss the open day on Sunday 10 February when entry to the garden is free for everyone between 9.30am and 5.30pm (last entry 4.30pm subject to demand). The opening of the garden's Chinese New Year festivities will also include a vibrant traditional lion dance, said to bring luck and fortune for the year ahead.

    Put Location in title…

    • +4

you could've googled it yourself and everyone in sydney knows about this place….

      • +2

Agreed. But, then, JV would probably get narky about someone posting an offer for the Eiffel Tower and demand that PARIS, FRANCE got added to the title. ;-p

There are 1.83 million reference to "Chinese Garden of Friendship". ALL of them are for the Chinese Garden of Friendship in Sydney because it is the only one.

I'm pretty sure the Eiffel Tower is a little more famous than the Chinese Garden of Friendship ;)

They've just finished filming for the new Wolverine movie in the Chinese Garden of Friendship (13 Harbour Street, Sydney, NSW, Australia*) and did NO filming for it at/on/near the Eiffel Tower. That means…. ummm…. it is TOTALLY more famous than that French glorified TV antenna.

          (*)For JV

        • Just a little! :)

        • Ok… Just needed to Google that interesting information from OZDJ_.

Apparently the scene is going to be a chase with him and a woman through a Japanese street. (Wierd, since the Garden of Friendship looks very Chinese though.) They also filmed in Japan.

i went there recently and its lovely, probably not going to go on the free days, i dont think a crowd is going to make it enjoyable, its cheap enough normally anyway. i do reccomend the food

    • +1

Yeah we went a few months ago as well. I agree, too many people, it wouldnt be enjoyable.

last time we went to the free one, and we saw the great wall of people queueing and after several hours (exaggerated) couldn't see much as people were everywhere, couldnt take a photo without 100 people in the same shot lol. someone nearly tripped over the edges of the fish feeding!
So, for 6bux, save your grief and see it how it is supposed to be seen, quiet and serenity of the garden.
