Called up the south melbourne store and was told it's $9.99 for pick up!

    • Hi Boozler,

Sorry for the mix up, seems that who ever answered the phone was not aware of the promotion.

The item is only $2 in store, however we recommend ordering online and selecting in store pick up at checkout to reserve the stock.

      • Thanks cplonline. Just placed my order for in-store pickup and received an email with the order no.
Do I have to wait for another email to confirm the item is ready for pick up, is that right?

        • +1

Yep, we are currently attempting to process all the orders as they come in. Once stock has been allocated to your order you will receive an email saying its ready to pickup.

Alternatively you could call the west Melbourne store, let them know the order number and see if they can process the order and reserve the stock for you on the spot if you need to pick it up today.

        • spoke to a rep called Ryan and was informed one has been put aside but I still need to wait for the "pick up" confirmation email.

          Hi Boozler,

If you email [email protected] with the order details i'l see that it gets prioritized.

        • Just shot through an email with my order no.

          Cheers mate.

        • Thanks Boozler,

It's all processed and ready to be picked up.

You should receive the confirmation email shortly.

thanks for taking all my details and signing me up before telling me its out of stock…

    • -1

      sorry lolmao,

It's the limitations of the automated system. Once a all our stock is gone the item is automatically disabled so we don't take more orders than we can actually fulfill.

      • -3

Your apology sounds a little insincere.

        • +2

          How?

          Being somewhat proficient with the interweb jargon I read;
"Sorry" [Laugh out loud my arse off]

        • He was responding to that guy :D

  • woah, i just submitted my order in.
yikes, i hope i get one

Not much of a bargain if only 10 were sold.

Shouldn't you be calling it an almost free giveaway?

    • +3

      Hi Mungulz,

There was actually well over 100 sold.

  • -6

Seems they only had like 4 for sale.

      Hi Explosions_Hurt

At one point we where getting an order almost every 5 seconds as this deal hit the front page. We would love the be able to sell more but at the same time we want to be able to honor ever order made. We well over 100 in stock this morning but the orders rolled in so fast we could only keep the deal live for as long as we did.

i got one. easy guys, this might be a dud gadget aswell i remember bought something similar from dealextreme and it was rubbish.

    • Got one because it's a Targus branded and the youtube video seems promising.

    • This review may confirm suspicions: http://www.cultofmac.com/166897/thumbs-on-with-targus-fling-…

Honestly at $2 it's worth the gamble! If you get more stock at this price Rep, I'm in.

    Just got one thanks

  • Just placed an order, cponline, when should delivery be expected?, I'm in sydney cbd, cheers.

    • +1

Hi DEvok, if your order was just placed now, that would be in our second allocation of stock. We expect to receive the stock tomorrow and hopefully have it shipped out Thursday via Australia Post. It should be arriving Friday or early next week.

  • thanks!

Surprised I haven't heard of this yet and it's been around for a while. I downloaded a package of 100s of SNES emulated games when I first got my Android "toy" but couldn't be bothered playing without tactile control (or maybe I've just grown out of these games :( ). I guess a phone or tablet casing solution with precisely-wired controls (via bluetooth etc) would be more sturdy and reliable though.

    • These things aren't very good. They're like those PC 'joysticks' that you clamped over the WASD keys on the keyboard. They're not responsive simply because you're adding another interface layer between the input controls and your fingers.

  • Thanks cpl, just bought 1 and put my brother on to the deal. Cheers
CPL also have the Viewsonic 27" VA2703-LED for 199 + post which appears to be the lowest price 27" LED around according to staticice.

  • Thanks, just ordered! Can't wait to play racing games with this.

  • Heh, just missed out again.

    • Sheesh, me too! At least I now have a registered account, should there be a third allocation…

  • Cheers!

  • Ordered one about an hour ago, thanks CPL

These guys store passwords as plain text…

    • +2

      Hi SleazyBargains,

All passwords are md5 and salted in our database. Your passwords are emailed to you during the registration process before being stored in the database and are never stored as plain text on our servers.

      • +3

While salting passwords in your database is good practice should your server get compromised, to be honest the sending of plain-text passwords to an e-mail account automatically is not ideal.

For example, if someone accidentally entered the wrong e-mail upon registration e.g [email protected] vs [email protected] (even if entered twice the user may not notice the "h" stopped working minutes ago on their keyboard…), an evil Joe Smit may then have a password on their hands to e-mail and banking accounts (because let's face it, people do reuse passwords unfortunately).

The only possible exception to this rule is an automatically generated password that is sent and needs to be changed within 24 hours or so and (ideally) doesn't provide access to user information (hence why requesting a real name upon e-mail registration is bad practice e.g. should a priest or president register for a paid porn-site…).

More websites now use secret questions and mobile confirmation, but again, secret questions that are actually secret are hard to come by (and it's not hard for your nemesis family member to access your open e-mail and answer a secret question…:)).

Plz bring back this deal again, i want one :) still +ive vote !

  • A bit big for an iphone me thinks! ;-)

  • Looks like the offer is back! I just purchased one

  • IN STOCK now. Get it quick ~

  • Did anyone receive their orders yet? I'm still waiting on mine, I placed my order on their 2nd allocation. This morning I emailed them asking for any update and this was their response:

All of the controllers were mailed out no later than the 14th of Feb.
There are no tracking numbers, being such a cheap product, please check with any housemates/family members to see if they may have taken or misplaced the parcel.

    • Yeah I got mine on Monday.
