In the market for a Sonos Play 5.
The cheapest local stock I can find is $555 at cable connection, where amazon.es is about $488.
I would love to find something local with a bridge though (looks like the promo has expired:( ).

I think most people would not be fooled by the "it doesn't work in Australia" rubbish - however the scary bit is when sonos turns around and says they will not honour warranty claims if bought from overseas…
I have not heard of many people having issues with these units - but to spend that much with limited warranty cover… hmmmm - tough call
might want to check with telstra stores…not sure!? cos my mate who works at one told me about this THIS morning exactly. says they got stock in, planning to sell, but not much is happening.
Hi althamaj - Sorry I can't help with a cheap price here in Oz. For some reason Sonos / retailers say US Sonos's won't work here - I just wanted to assure you they do. I got 2 of the Play 5's, each with a free bridge, when I was in the USA last April. I paid US$860 total (incl sales tax). My sister (in LA) purchased 2 in December for US$300 each (on special at www.bestbuy.com), also with bridges included. So the free bridge deals seem to come around fairly often. Hope you find a good deal here, as the system is fantastic - especially combined with a music service and a NAS.
