This has now become a regular occurance. So much for premium brand positioning.

    • i know…but still a good deal though!

It's to clear out Oroton's (the local rep) stock holdings, as they've lost the licence to sell Ralph Lauren. All stock & stores will revert to Ralph Lauren Ltd ownership from 1/7/2013.

There'll probably be a few more sales from them to clear out what they can before then.

    • good for us i guess! :)

    good deal as always!

  • No love for ACT :(

  • Ralph Lauren ruined their cloth by putting such a large picture of the Horse sport on the front of them…

The only thing good from Ralph Lauren is their Socks… Amazing foot wear I must say :)

    • Only some of their shirts have the huge horse. Most of their shirts still have the original smaller logo.

    • One of my polos only has a small RL logo, others have a tiny horse logo. It is only one design that has those ugly large logos

Ralph Lauren is soo much better in the US. The US website has a huge range and all the different brands, at good prices when on sale. Here they only have a few RL Boutiques and they are incredibly pretentious, small ranges and prices are high.
I only buy at the outlet stores basic polos/tees.

Us here in the land of OZ still dream of USA pricing. Been twice in recent year and even with a 50% off sale its still nowhere near the usa pricing or there range. $15.00 for a polo. $12.50 for jeans

I was just in the US last month. Their polos are around $80-$90 USD over there. When on sale, the lowest you'll find them for are about $60 USD.

was in the US in sept. Saw nothing near what your price suggests. Cheapest I saw in the outlets was 40-45aud

Agreed. $15 USD for a ralph lauren polo rofl… he's dreamin.

Not sure where you guys shop in the US but at Waikele outlets in.Hawaii, picked up biz shirts for $10 ea, cargo style shorts for $10 and women's bikini for $16! Oh, the typical polo shirt was $15. Only the limited edition Tsunami polo was $90 due it.being for donations.

Its obvious that mr Z and Jskf01 are not real ozbargainers . I have over 6 pairs for ralph jeans and the deareast pair where $31.00. The polos were the price i mentioned too. I was over there for the 4th of july sales in las vegas outlet mall. I also picked up 5 billabong shirts for 42.00 US all up. and vans t shirts 2 for 10. Vans classic shoes were from 22.00 if i still had the tags i would post them on here to prove it.

You can also sign up online to premium outlets which are nationwide and they will send you sale vouchers.

My kids dont call me Terry tight ass for nothing.
I dont have anything to gain for trying to mislead people. You can either belive me or not..

I agree with you on the low pricing. Twice whilst in Austin TX I have gone to the Outlet mall on the way to San Antonio and I paid $15 US for RL jeans and $10 for RL Polo shirts and at the Echo clothing store I paid $10 US for the large hoodies and $5 for T-shirts. They have clearance racks of older styles which for us here in OZ are still amazing deals as we are behind. So I will back you up 100%.

        • Love echo clothes . Also Gap stores had 2 hoodies for $30.00. Onsale at gap outlet in melbourne south wharf were $45 for 1.

Glad to know you managed to score those prices. I went to the outlet mall in vegas as well (Premium outlets) and they did not have that price unfortunately. and neither did NYC. Very lucky good on ya!

      • I go to the US every 6 months. Even on Black Friday, the single largest retail shopping sale of the year (including boxing day), I have never seen $15 Ralph Polo shirts. Especially for the Custom Fit, which don't get below $30. Sure, you wouldn't pay over $15 for Hilfiger, but not Ralph.

However I want to point out one very important thing - at almost all major outlets in the US there is a copycat Ralph Lauren store called U.S Polo which do indeed have such pricing schemes, and most people don't realise that they are in fact different companies due to their similar style and logo.

        http://www.uspoloassn.com/

        • I buy Custom Fit polo regularly here in Australian Outlets, and usually pay $30 sometimes slightly less.

        • I too have been to the US Polo store and i know they are a copycat store..however i do relise that they are not the same store.

I guess i just must of been at the right time and place twice. Both in vegas and at Woodbury Premium outlet in NY.

      Tell him he's dreaming

  • They don't seem to have 50% off in their DFO stores anymore. Now, THAT'S a bargain! :>

  • sigh if only they had a local online store

    • yeah would be good, hate going to their little boutique stores. clothing stores are so behind in this country

    • They probably will once Ralph Lauren Ltd take over

  • …But they seem to almost have 70% off always going on at the Airport West DFO, plus even with the 70% off they are still pretty pricey due to the over inflated RRP. Not bad offer, but by no means amazing.

  • harbortown Ralph Lauren on the Gold Coast seems to have sales pretty often, I randomly walked in 2 weeks ago and it was 60% off storewide. Not sure if its still running or not

    • went there last weekend and unfortunately a lot of the sale stuff is pretty ugly, even the polos are not great.

  • I think RL has kinda loss the shine that it had a few years ago

  • 60% is standard in the outlets but they only usually offer the basic tee and none of the striped stuff

  • outlets usually between 60-70% off. Best offer was 85% off during Australia Day weekend. but as said above, they dont have much choice just basic tshirts and polos (and alot of the polos are a cheaper material, like a Tshirt). But that is the only place I buy RL from, and have found some nice pieces.

Great, now to put on 4 extra sizes so I can find something that fits me!

  • Anything good to pick up here? Don't want to drive all the way and find out nothing I can buy.

  • +1

just came back from the collins st store theyve got quite alot of nice casual style shirts and they still have pretty much all sizes available

  • Not a deal, RL is way overpriced in Australia (well in general, but Australia in particular).

  • Good to see that they are screwing both their sweatshop staff as well as Ozbargainers!
6c extra for each hour of overtime - http://www.pbs.org/itvs/storewars/sweatshops.html

  • How do I use this coupon? Present it at check out?

  • BTW saw myer, david jones n ralph lauren store having discount up to 60%.dont know when the sale ends though
myer having the best range in my opinion (custom fit polo UP119/discounted to 59.5)
