As stated in the title, 3 deals of noteworthy. Probably not the Hdd unless you need it delivered. Anyho, believe the Alienware TactX Mouse is a re-badged logitech G9X which according to staticice is $69 + delivery.

  • Bear in mind the 30" is the now obsolete U3011, not the new U3014….

    U3011 is good though - I own one - but the U3014 is better….

  • thanks for pointing that out, i didnt realise U3014 is available. I am waiting for U2713H to have 30% discount though. My table is not big enough for 30" unfortunately, so is my wallet…lol

    • Last week I bought 2 x U2713H monitors for 1428.90. They will happily discount them down to $650 (not including GST) if you buy more than one, and you buy them for a business. Just give Dell customer service a call.

      • Unfortunately, cant afford 2 and not much of a haggler, i just have to wait for the 30% discount but thanks for the tip:)

        • No worries, for what its worth, I'm not much of a haggler either, the haggling basically involved calling them and saying, 'I'd like to buy 2 monitors for my work, can you give me 30% off please.'

But the Dell sales come about 2-3 times a year from memory, so you probably won't have to wait long.

        • disa1377, your wait has arrived, see http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/99676

Think twice before you buy the U3011 (and in fact other products as well). I bought one last September and it died recently. They swapped it for a refurb comes with a nice dead pixel. Complained, sent photos, now I'm on ignore list. Will still fight them on this, but it says a lot about their current quality control and post-15-day support (obviously I thought they were good when I bought it). Good luck.

      Hmmm

All Dell monitors now come with refurb replacements rather than brand new.

I have had my U3011 replaced once and also my U2711 replaced once.

I have to say though the refurbs I got were perfect, and actually had build dates later than my original monitors and also had later firmware - and it looks like they replaced all externals in the refurbs - I was originally a little peeved but don't mind so much now as they work fine.

If you are still having issues with this dead pixel thing, send me a private message with your name, email and serial number - I'll contact my sales rep in Dell and ask her to sort it out…

Or alternatively I can put you onto her…

      • Thanks for the help, the tech/support called me today and basically told me that he can't guarantee that the replacement for the replacement won't have any dead pixels either. To which I kinda lost it and told him he should keep replacing them then until they are able to provide a fault-free unit as it's supposed to be. He wished me a good day and the end.

I'll take your offer if this doesn't pan out again this time :)

    • Interesting, I have had bad units come to me as well but Dell was very helpful and replaced them with another refurbish unit. Two tries and it solved the red tinting and bright pixels I was experiencing.

While this is a pain, I still think Dell's Premium Warranty is worthwhile. Next business day courier to your door and 0 dead/bright pixel policy.

      • Not quite 0 dead/bright. It's actually 0 Bright or 5 Dark pixels for the Premium Panel Guarantee…

      • Or they could really work on their build quality to not have so many replacements? It's obviously biased since only those who had problems would post stuff online, but replacement seems to happen a lot to 27" to 30" Dells if you just ask around your friends (I got 2 out of 3 so far).
