I got this exact model from JB yesterday for $680

    • Hey Lazer, are you sure you got this exact model? I do not see it anywhere on the JB website.

It would be interesting if this deal gets a lot of votes as I think this is a great deal - very hard to even get this price at wholesale rates.

Yep u are rite it is a different model but the only difference i see is the graphics card

    • Sorry Lazer, I still cannot find any i5 Toshiba laptops sold at $688 from JB Hifi. In answering your question about the graphics card, for laptops, having a 2GB graphics card makes a big price difference. Whether that price difference translates to performance, I will leave that up to the more tech savvy people here.

      • It's more than$100 less without the graphics card at jb. That is the everyday price too with free shipping.

Sorry about the fornamtting, written on am ozbargain N9.

        • That is a core i3-3110m not i5

      • to all the tech noobs out there, video card memory generally means shit all in performance terms especially with a screen size/resolution of this laptop. dont waste your money just because you see bigger numbers. youll need more vram if: running at high resolution, have a massive screen or using multiple screens.
but having said all that, dedicated video cards are generally better than integrated videos cards for performance but it also means more power consumption and higher prices

      • Cause its listed on the site for $797 i got it for $680

Graphics card makes no difference to me notworth paying extra for it

Seriously? There is a reason why this is a L850 instead of the C850 you purchased. There is an "exactly" same model as your C850 except with graphics card. Next time, if you are going to comment about purchasing something cheaper, at the very least, compare the same series laptops, and maybe even the "exact" model as well?

At this stage I even doubt you have such magical negotiation powers to purchase a $797 for $680.

I can get this exact model from JB tomorrow for $898

  • Hi Rep, can you send me a private message? Thanks.

  • MSY's HP Pavillion M6-1010TX for $649 still looks a better deal to me, and you don't have to suffer with POS Windows 8 either. This Toshiba isn't bad though. Thanks to OP for posting.
