Terrible website but got there eventually.

When you checkout there is a "I have a coupon" link which gives it for free.

I went back to log in details and just refreshed (behind the scenes it had created my account)

Confirm & Pay page was displayed
At the bottom left of the Confirm area, you can click on the ticket saying I have a coupon to use

At this point, nothing seems to be happening, but I'm just posting it so people know where there's the ticket to click on

  Left clicking didn't do anything, so I right clicked it, which just opened up a second copy of the order page.
  
  But on this page, when I left clicked, the ticket disappeared and was replaced with a textbox so I could enter the code. After applying the code, the page was replaced with the Finished page. I didn't have to put in any payment method details.

      Download the 0.0.10, its the latest version, and there doesn't seem to be any reason to download the older version. The reddit page links to 0.0.10, not sure why the description linked to the old version.

No nothing about this game but downloading now. Obviously its great that I'm able to obtain this legitimately for free but it seems pretty pretentious to charge $30 for such an incredibly early build for a game. Even KSP (which is currently at v 0.18) only costs $23. Though if it turns out to be amazing, I will happily come back here and append this comment.
