Does anyone know if these are available at the Docklands store in Melbourne?

    • +2

      That is a perfectly reasonable question… Don't neg him…

      • +2

Thanks Mikeologos. Considering its a three hour round trip to Costco for me, I thought it was a reasonable question too.

        • +1

And if they don't have it at Docklands, it's a 20 hour round trip to Auburn!

Went to Costco at the Docklands store yesterday and saw this in stock :-)

  • Great birthday gifts for kids!

  • Pretty sure this is normal price, I remember seeing this pack a few months back at my local Costco for same price.

    • No, unfortunately (for us), this box set was double the price about a month ago at costco auburn when we bought it.
It was still the best price back then, but now it's a crazy good deal.
Seeing as we haven't used it yet, wondering if we can return it and then rebuy. Hmm…

Return it ASAP and get your refund. If they dont want to refund you then ask to see the manager. If the manager wont agree to refund you then request a refund on your $60 membership fee and tell him you want to cancel your membership.

People think that Costco is a good bargain, yes, sometimes it is if you have a BIG family but work it our and youll soon realize that the $60 yearly membership eats through your shopping savings pretty quick'

LOL, that $60 paid for itself the first time around when I went in there. Shit, the esky alone subsidized the $60 savings, lets not even factor in the other 600 I spent. And no, not a big family.

My guess is that you've never shopped there and are talking out of your arse.

        • I think this debate has been had elsewhere. We get a few select items such as 2.2kg cheese for around $5.50 and 2kg greek yog for $5.50 as well. Both half price of supermarkets, saving us $10 per shop on those items alone. Usually buy them at least once a month, so that does us for savings, but add to that deals like this roald dahl one and we're quite happy with it.

          cheapo!

      • They'll refund you the difference; this is their usual policy no questions asked.

        • Interesting, that would make it easier. Yes I think that's what other US stores like GAP and Banana Republic etc do, but the sale price has to be in place within a couple of weeks of the original purchase. Basically to save them the hassle of putting your item back on the shelves, so you can just rebuy another one at a discount.

I should pick this up, I only ever read one Roald Dahl book when I was a kid…

I love Roald Dahl. I'm not a Costco member though, shall have to ask one of my friends to get it for me…

  • +1

how much is the moong dhal?

  • Not bad if you have a Costco membership - http://booko.com.au/9780140926521/Roald-Dahl-Phizz-whizzing-…. I think I saw this for $90+ at Dymocks.

Anyone know the stock levels at Auburn?

    • Probably going Wednesday arvo, will post and let you know

      • Thanks - I am planning to go on the weekend, so would rather not go there for nothing.

    • +1

there was a pallet full this afternoon so heaps left

  • +1

Just dropped by, about 150 of the box sets left at Auburn.
They also refunded my original (unused) purchase, no questions, then I rebought on sale. The new ones have plastic wrap so should last longer, seeing as we're saving them for when the kids are a bit older.

Phenomenal price though, on the bottom it says RRP 94 odd pounds! Should probably have bought another few as gifts.

  • No more than I can see at Auburn.

    • Heaps there on sunday 31 march

  • Heaps of stock at Docklands, VIC.
