    $75.99 is nothing special for a no-name brand. A quick search you'll find many cheaper options. The above from Amazon has over 22,000 reviews.

      …I don't think they are Egyptian cotton, they're just like Egyptian cotton… but made of plastic.

      (Years ago, Aldi had Egyptian cotton sheets for about $100 per queen set; just fantastic. If you've stayed in a high-end hotel, that's what those thick-but-soft sheets are made of.)

          I think I just went with a mid-range Tontine, and then wrapped it in a cotton (Aldi) pillow protector - it's got the right mix of firm and soft. The cheap Tontines were too soft for me.

          If you find one, though, let me know.
