Does anyone else get notifications in Android that the MyMaccas app is consuming extra battery?
I have a permanent notification saying it's running in background, which is annoying. But it doesn't seem to be consuming significant battery??
I force close the app when I am done with it.
I don't need Macca's running on my phone all the time.

Last night it wouldn't work - couldn't add anything to order. Same up with a error bar across top of screen "not available at this location" which was rubbish.
Had a promotion for 2 coffees for $4. Couldn't add to order in app, but could scan QR code at machine in store.
After payment it flashes up an order number momentarily and says get from front counter, then gone. No receipt. No ticket.
I sit and wait at Mccafe and noone comes out. Then I hear them calling a number somewhat similar to what I thought I saw, and it was my order. They'd made it in back somewhere! - I didn't hear any beans grinding!!??This coffee had no trace of ever having had crema. My friend had a couple of sips and didn't drink their's.
So 1) the app sucks; and 2) maccas sucks. What do they saw? "We know coffee" or "we love coffee"?? rubbish

Don't get too excited. Just don't be surprised if you get in store and the app rewards section simply shows an error, as so often happens. Or the app simply freezes as is happening now for me.
But hey, they'd have got you in store, hungry and expectant, so it's still a win for them.I never buy anything else when I'm in bargain mode - it detracts from the win.
Last night I had to do 3 orders to get $1 large fries, $1.50 chicken cheese burger, and 24 nuggets for $9.95.
Couldn't stack the first 2 deals so needed 2 orders. Couldn't get the nugget deal on app nor even in store self-service, so went to counter where I was told app doesn't work for nuggets - waiting for a fix on that one!!??Yes, it was a little embarrassing being only one in store and lining up to pick up 3 orders in a row. But worth it.
Nugget deal 24 for $9.95 is available in the App, just can't select spicy.
The App and in store kiosk are buggy.
So many times I've seen the kiosk just fail and the App refuses to work.
Including a $3 charge from a store I never went to.
Maccas just refused to deal with it, contact the bank.
I've decided to only scan in store now as I'm worried about the app being buggy and not being able to pick up an order I've made and paid for through the app.

Yep, didn't work for me. The guy said to try on their Wi-Fi, which obviously also didn't work. He ended up giving for free, and saying "just don't use this again today"

Yes. Was getting issues with adding to mobile order.. on 1 phone, but not the other (same brand and model of phone also, weird) . With offer on 1 phone I wanted to claim, and wasn't working, I just used code at kiosk to order
Gave up on the App having errors, refusing to process payment. Remove the order and the offer is gone.
Off to Hungry Jack's instead.

parramatta lvl5 maccas staff lie about reach redeem limit and not offer it. in fact its the tech issue with the app. tried another maccas with scan worked.
I just asked at level 5 and that said same thing. He claims it is first 200k. Then he claims the app is broken because they got the limit. I told him that's not true. Then he said that's all his manager said and they can no longer see option in the register to put it through.
I just managed to get one 10 mins ago in the city, there was a bunch of people there just getting cheeseburgers

App failed with error code when choosing the eat in, takeaway option. Probably busy servers. Then it said remove from order and try again, of course it's a one-time offer so I couldn't try again. I could have shown the error and got the burger most likely but didn't bother as it was just too busy.

There's app problems where it loops the same steps over and over again. Just go into the store, show them and they'll sort you out.
My order actually went through but I never received a notification and it kept looping the error message. When I got there, they were calling my name out already, so my order still went through despite app issues.
