      Most of our SIMs have Hotspot/tethering enabled look for this wording on the product description - I don't think we have any that does not allow this.

      Only works on mobile phone NOT pocket Wi-Fi though.

    Has anyone got experience with the Data-only eSIMs (I'm looking at the SE Asia one in particular, but experience with other regional eSIMs is also helpful) and whether it's compatible with Telstra/Boost "wifi calling" via the eSIM data on an iPhone?

    I've used inverted commas because technically it's not via Wifi in this case, but my understanding is that it (Telstra Wifi Calling) works when routing data through a local SIM (in a dual-SIM iPhone setup) - e.g. https://whrl.pl/RgwpWo

      I was able to use "WiFi Calling" via an eSIM whilst in New Zealand. I'm with Boost. You can only make calls to Australian numbers.

      Once ordered you need to scan it within 1 year of purchase, but we don't put expiry as it is easy enough for us to cancel and reissue a new one if you need it extended :)

    I'm using one currently in Japan. Pasting esim codes didn't work but scanning the qr code did. Having a second device was handy.

    Also, it appears to be either a Chinese or Taiwanese sim so I'm getting a lot of ads. Not sure how secure my data is…

        It's reasonable. I'm in Hokkaido so it's been solid. Occasionally lose connection on trains going through tunnels. I wouldn't call it super fast mobile internet but good value

      The local SIMs are rechargeable but we won't be able to help, we recommend buying 2 SIMs if you need longer validity or more data.

      For the Local Europe SIM yes you can receive call and make "local" phone call.

    Why is the physical SIM "Europe & UK 28 Days - 10 GB @ $18.75 listed as supporting Europe & UK if it is in fact only supporting Spain now?

      No it does support Europe still but at reduced data i.e. the 10GB or 14GB - they used to be 40GB and 80GB!

      Some eSIM costs are still more expensive than Physical SIM probably to newer tech - I woulds imagine these will go down in price eventually

    It appears that the: Asia Explorer 12 (Countries) 15 Days and Asia Explorer 13 (Countries) 15 Days are the same URL. I can't find the 12 countries one on the website.

      We merged the Asia 12 and Asia 13 SIM products into one.

      It is now advertised as Asia 13 - if you want the Asia 12 choose the "excluding China" option :)

        Yes you can and 3UK does not require activation by us just pop the SIM in :)

    I've used TravelKon for over 5 SIM cards. Unfortunately the South Korea one I ordered 2 weeks ago appears to have been lost by AusPost or delivered to the wrong place (tracking shows delivered but no where to be seen). Been speaking to TravelKon on Messenger and they're very quick at replying, so props to them helping out for omething that isn't their fault. Though hopefully they're able to cancel the sim and reissue a new one as I fly out next week!

    For South Korea, what's the difference between this one and some of the 'Unlimited' data ones that are cheaper than this? Would be interested to hear thoughts are around this. Only one I can see is that you need to pick it up from a kiosk in Korea, but other than that, are your speeds better, do you allege better customer service or reliability, better 4g coverage, or what's your point of differentiation?
    Update: Disregard - I wasn't comparing like-to-like, this does work out cheaper if you don't plan on exceeding 30gb (i.e. depends on your data needs).

    For this product, when it says "exclude China", is this specifically mainland? In other words, it still includes Taiwan and Hong Kong?

    I am interested in the 10GB for 30 days option but it seems to exclude China - I am only travelling to HK and Taiwan.

      Exclude China means China Mainland. HK and Taiwan is included still.

    Do people buy eSims over physical these days for travelling? I can't think of any reasons why you would opt for a physical sim

      unless one does not have a rather 'newer' phone that supports eSIM…

      If you have eSIM phone definitely safe a hassle of changing SIMs.

      The only downside I can think of is you can't transfer eSIM to another phone once installed - but other than that eSIM is so convenient!
