WPI Flavours

We have 17 flavours available to choose from.

Our new releases are Neapolitan Ice Cream and Mint Choc Chip.

All flavours are naturally sweetened. All use thaumatin except for Aussie Choc Malt and Cinnamon Icing (these two use stevia). Please note that some people find the stevia aftertaste unpleasantly bitter, so we'd recommend choosing from other options if you're concerned about this.

We've transitioned over to thaumatin for the fact that it is an all natural plant based sweetener, a superior flavour profile, a neutral insulin impact (as it is a protein) and being very gentle on the gut. A bit of trivia, thaumatin is about 10x the cost of artificial counterparts (eg. sucralose) and more than 5x the cost of stevia w/w!

Also note the Unflavoured option is straight WPI with just sunflower lecithin to assist in mixing and reduce frothing (less than 1%).

  • 100% Australian Blended and Packed in our Sydney Facility
  • Our manufacturing facility is owned by us and is a NSW Licensed Food Facility
  • Per serve: 29.1 - 24.4g protein / 0.3 - 0.9g fat / 0.4 - 3.4g carbs (varies between flavours)
  • We only use WPI in this protein - this is not a blend
  • Protein is added hormone free, ultra and micro filtered and cold pressed
  • Soy free - we use sunflower lecithin instead of soy lecithin (soy is common in whey proteins)

    I haven’t finished mine from feb but I gotta say this is the best tasting protein I’ve ever had.

    Ice coffee with milk, no joke, tastes like a dare ice coffee and is my favourite (has caffeine).
    Strawberry and chocolate taste like milkshakes

      The Aussie Choc Malt is popular too, but does have stevia, which some people are more sensitive to the bitter aftertaste.

      We don't yet have a cookies option (we are working on it, but we haven't got it to the point at which we're happy to release it).

      Thanks for asking @pt87, there are a few key differences.

      Full disclosure, we also sell Optimum Isolate which is a good product.

      The ON WPI is about 80% protein, ours will range from 80-90% depending upon the flavour. For carbs, ON is about 3% while ours ranges from 2-10% flavour dependent. For fat ON is about 2%, ours is generally 1-2%. You can see the nutritional profile of each flavour if you scroll down and click on "Nutritional Info" tab.

      Our protein will use thaumatin or stevia, all natural sweeteners. ON WPI uses sucralose which is artificial.

      Our protein is formulated and blended here in Australia and is only sold in Australia. ON is made in USA and is sold worldwide.

      Our protein is available in 17 flavour options, ON WPI is available in 2 options in Australia.

      There is also a price difference depending upon where you purchase from. The larger ON WPI is about 2.36kg and will generally retail for more than this deal before credit.

        This was really helpful, I've been an ON loyalist for many years but the price is just too much. I already buy Amino's creatine.

        I buy the double rich chocolate now from ON, do any of your flavours compare, or if i enjoy the double rich chocolate, is there an alternative flavour that you offer with a similar consistency / smoothness / yummyness? I'm far from blindly loyal to the chocolate flavour, it was just so easy to drink!

          We don't have an exact copy of the ON version, but we do have both the chocolate and the smooth milk chocolate. The chocolate is probably the closest we have being more of a richer and darker choc than the smooth milk.

          The chocolate is the top seller, but we do have some other flavours that are a bit unique too. Matcha Green Tea Ice Cream is a newer release and is one of the most popular flavours. We also just released the Neapolitan Ice Cream flavour too.

        Hello I had a probably stupid questions after bit of googling . The ON product says more than 5 g per scoop of BCAA's . But Whey isolate does have this anyways . Now i am confused are they added extra in ON product for better recovery or just part of whey isolate ?. If they are added extra then do we need to add BCAA to Aminoz WPI o get the same result ? . Dont mind buying as long as I get better results. Thanks.

          Hi @VickOz thank you for asking and no, this isn't a stupid question. Many people are confused by this statement.

          In ON, there are no added BCAA's to the formula. They are just highlighting that the whey protein they use in their product already contains 5g of BCAA's.

          I actually did a review on their product highlighting this and the confusion this causes many people. Despite ON being a good product, I think there could be better transparency on the label here.

    Keep the flavors simple, choc, vanilla, and such. Flavors with only one word.

    The complex flavors taste very very artificial compared to ON products. Wouldn't rate it as tasteful at all.

      Note that Aussie Choc Malt has stevia, the others use thaumatin. Stevia can have a bitter aftertaste. Also the coffee and matcha both have caffeine from the coffee/matcha.

      Personally I love the creme caramel, but am currently using the choc caramel which is a newer release of ours and I can recommend.

    As a savoury person the sweetness in protein powders really throws me. I currently have a plant-based Chai flavored protein powder that is very nice - just a tiny bit of sweetness.

    Would you have anything in your line-up that is on the less sweet side? Currently I am looking at the Vanilla Creamy, Iced Coffee and an unflavored. I need a third option - Matcha?

    Would a savoury option even be possible… creamy tomato soup?

      I also love the chai idea, being not so sweet. A great idea.

      With our current line-up the less sweet options are iced coffee, strawberry, banana and unflavoured (no sweetener in the unflavoured version).

      The matcha is still a bit sweet. The matcha itself is slightly bitter, but it will be overall a sweeter flavour.

    Hi Jay, Could you please clear up something.
    I've got an account and have made purchases in the past but have not paid for the Club Z membership, my Club Z membership status: Inactive at the moment.
    Can I take up the FREE for 14 days ($3.99) and still get on the Whey Protein Isolate 4kg and receive the $50 Credit ($65 Club Z) ?. I intend to cancel the free 14 days subscription though, would that be any problem with the $65 Club Z credit?

      The $65 will only be available if you previously had an active and paid Club Z membership at the launch of this promotion (ie. not inactive and also not on trial status). We do this as a loyalty perk of retaining the Club Z membership.

      So based on what you've described, you would be eligible for the $50 credit, but not the $65 since you weren't on an active and paid Club Z membership at the launch of this promotion.

      Full disclosure, I'm obviously biased. But we also sell the Musashi brand which is a very good brand, so I'll just provide a very quick rundown.

      The Musashi 100% Whey is a WPC/WPI blend being primary WPC. Ours is a WPI. WPI is a more highly refined protein and consequently our WPI will have a higher protein percentage and lower fat/carb percentage across most flavours.

      As a raw material, WPI is significantly more expensive than WPC due to the extra processing that it incurs.

      The other key product difference is the fact that ours is sweetened with natural sweeteners, Musashi uses sucralose.

      Ours come in pouches, Musashi comes in a jar.

      Ours will have 17 flavour options, Musashi has 3.

      I guess it depends also on how you consider the store credit. If you don't consider it, Musashi does come out cheaper. If you factor it in, ours will come out cheaper on a $/kg serve.

      Anyway I hope this helps.

      Yeah, but Musashi is pretty crap. I buy mostly from BN personally, but have bought from AminoZ in the past to try it and will say it's quality stuff.

    Thx for another great deal, made a order for afew kilo. Question about the unflavored, I ordered one with my last batch and it smelled quite bad, so much so that i threw it out. I cant really explain the smell but the other flavors were not like this - is it normal for unflav?

      We did have a prior batch of unflavoured WPI which was from a different raw material supplier and we are aware that it did smell different to usual. This isn't typical and we now use a different supplier and the unflavoured will have a neutral smell.

    I'm just about to finish up some Pure Product, WPC/WPI. It is 80% protein and only 2.4% sugars. Why is your WPI much more sugary? Can you recommend a flavour with less sugar? Thanks.

      @drillvoice it will depend upon the flavour that you choose. For example, vanilla creamy only has 1.3% sugar. You can see the sugar percentages in the "Nutritional Info" tab if you scroll down - just select the flavour.

      Some flavours have more flavouring in there which may affect the sugar content. Per serve, the total sugar amount will be very small (most flavours under 1g). 1.2% of the sugar in the product is going to be from the WPI in the form of lactose (as you can see in the unflavoured version).
