To this, how does the tax invoice show the 300 credit? Does it show the phone at 849 and then payment due of 849 and 300 paid from coupon and 549 due from other sources of payment?
Or does it show 549 as the purchase price of phone, showing 849 minus 300 so net phone cost of 549.

Coupon is treated as discount so the taxable amount is $549.

Managed to order 256GB for pick up tomorrow at $888.26 via JB deal. With the trade in discount of $300 and another $300 gift cards from work, only $288.26 out of pocket! Not to forget the extra gift card of $200 coming in two weeks time!

Does anyone know how to set up different ringtones on the 8a for the two sims? Looks to me like you can't. Very disappointing oversight.

Whoever has bought it and started using it, how does it feel and how's the Battery life?
It's feels significantly heavier then the pixel 5, I don't use a cover and it's noticable thicker too.
I'm not enjoying the underscreen vs back of phone finger print sensor, back of phone sensor is waaay better.

The camera feels 'laggy' when I point/move the phone around in comparison to my p5

Battery life is much better on the p8a (might be due to it being new).
I don't use a cover and it feels good in hand

Tried holding my ID every which way, says it verifies, then when I click on next it just gives me an empty popup and doesn't do anything. Feel your pain.
ed: tried using a different phone and it worked. Might be that the camera/OS settings were blocking too much metadata (noting that they "need" location to verify things).

You click the Pixel 8A offer in the email with the coupon options, JB then sends another email with the $300 coupon code.
You should get a separate email titled "JB Hi-Fi Trade-in Google Pixel 8A coupon special.". There is a coupon code in the email.
You should get 2 emails, one with $1 and one with $300 offers. You can use both in-store or online

The coupon code is for the Google Pixel 8 Pro but you have the 8A

damn I bought 2 pre-ordered and paid in-store with the $300 trade coupon and trade credit + Ultimate Gift card + awaiting JB $200 GC
if I knew that there was nothing special about the preorder what I should of done is bought 1 in store and then use the $200 JB gift cards straight away for the 2nd one

If you don't actually send in the phone you get charged the trade in amount and can still use the $300 voucher. If you didn't trade in a $1 value phone they would just charge you $1

Anyone know how it works if I want to trade in my iPhone 15 plus? They are offering $1,000. Since the Pixel will be less than that, how does the left over credit work? Do I get that in Jb gift cards or something or would I need to use it all in the same transaction and say get some ear buds and a case etc?
I checked eBay and my model is going for around $1200 but after the eBay fees it’s around a grand anyway. Alternatively I have an old iPhone 7 I don’t use they are offering $1 for. Any advice would be appreciated. Cheers.
You'll get a jb gift card equal to the trade in value plus a coupon code to use for $300 off the pixel 8a.
Both can be used in one transaction and left over credit will remain on gift card.

@bazz: My sister bought it but the phone was too big for her so I did her a favour and swapped my 13 Pro for her pink 15 plus lol. I miss the refresh rate and mostly the camera of my pro and a few other little things. It’s still a great phone but I love my tech so I want to try Android for bit and thought this would be a good excuse. I’ll prob end up back on iPhone in 18 months or so.
