Upsized 10% cashback on most categories with $20 cap. ShopBack has not made clear whether this is $20 cap per transaction or per account.


Just received a notification from ShopBack. Ignore the eBay Plus logo since I believe it is for the wrong promo.

The 15/22% off eBay Plus Weekend codes are listed on ShopBack and will qualify for cashback.

Unsure what codes will be stackable since the picture did say special codes (could be the eBay Plus weekend codes)

Don’t forget to activate the loyalty spend promo

Excluded categories:

  • Items in the Travel category
  • Charity and non-profit items
  • eBay Plus membership
  • Items with Best Offer accepted prices and Auctions

  • SB seemed to have messed up the $20 cap as I got a bit more. (As have others on this thread)

    I'm hoping they are reprocessing the cashbacks again to limit it to $20.

    Even if the codes were invalid, I should still have got the WP bonus and still counting towards the $3 per $100 bonus

    • @gotyourback Would be great to get an ETA for the fix as it would determine if to cancel and return the purchase. Losing out on $20 (bank bonus) + $20 (ebay 10%) + $12 (ebay loyalty challenge) is a big deal. Cheers !

      • They must be screwed up big this time. If it's just a wrong discount number or something they forgot to activate for the bonus to take place on their system, it should be easily adjusted. Luckily almost everyone is having this problem. Imagine if only one or two people and reported this to their CS, I bet it would end up like @couger where their CS would just jumped the gun and told them it was their own fault.

  • Classic shopback rejecting all my ebay bonus cashback. I signed up for a westpac account for this and been using shopback for too long to know the dos and donts on ebay.
    Shopped heaps that day knowing I wanted to use the upsized cashback. I didnt even use coupons for these. Not even sure if ill get the main cashback now even if my items have been dispatched already -_-

      Has this happened to you before? You make it seem like this isn't the first time.
      Definitely the first time for me and I have participated in pretty much every upsized eBay cashback offering

      As per GYB's latest comment they're looking into it. I'm sure they will honour everything as per what was advertised.

      • Classic i meant it's always hit or miss. I tracked this one specifically as i purposely shopped around and was extra careful.

        Hopefully they fix this.

      • I contacted support the day the cashback went to rejected/calculating, they asked for me to provide Order Confirmations etc and came back to me yesterday with "Leave this with me to follow up for you, as soon as I hear back from them I'll be right back with the information"

        If they don't honour everything as advertised then this will be the straw that broke the camels back (For me anyways)

    I see the eBay $3 per $100 spend challenge is now saying "All rewards claimed"

    I was eligible for that $12 until Shopback incorrectly rejected my eBay transactions on 03/05

    I made a purchase WITHOUT the advertised codes. It was tracked, also with the bonus st george offer. But it has changed to calculating and rejected.

    So I don’t think this is all related to the code being used or not. The whole eBay tracking is stuffed up.

    It seems everyone are the same boat. No matter approved code or without code. Paid with bank card plus with eBay gift card. They all approved first and rejected later. Contact helpdesk since the issue happened from Monday 06/05/24 l sent all information whatever they need but until now remaining investigation. Luckily my one doesn’t have cash back much. I just want to test how my st.George card work and the first time paid mixed with some eBay gift card l left some balance and problem occurred like everyone. Helpdesk name is Sri. If everyone know him/her you guys are too late for responding or if anyone who is higher level than this guy when you will give a clear answer why approved first and rejected later ??? To make it clear for everyone who shop on last Friday 03/05/24 cashback tracked and rejected later !!!

      • Yes. I agree with you l sent an email since last Monday but today was Sunday. ( 7 days later ) No any response from him/her. Remaining investigation!!! Whatever ShopBack bonus campaign from now no more for me until they resolved the issue. Good luck with chasing their bonus that track first make everyone happy and 2 days later rejected all cashback with no any explanation why they rejected??? This is a trap from ShopBack nowadays without anyone can help.Helpdesk all are useless!!!

    I see in the App there is a 'Shopback Frenzy' this week 14-16 May featuring ebay.

    Hope they resolve this issue before then.

    Same as everyone, still waiting on 3 X eBay rejected orders to be processed. Can't recommend or post these deals anymore.

    Haven't lodged a claim though. Will wait for @gotyourback to reply here. Also have Chemist Warehouse orders to sort out.

    I will use ShopBack for gift cards only. Not keen on Cashrewards or TopCashback either.

    Can't face chasing these robots and getting copy and paste answers, similar to eBay agents

      Yeah same. Wish I took a screenshot of it. Not impressed.

      Sounds like this was an issue with Shopback and eBay about allowing the 22% discount code to stack with the bonus cashbacks. At the end of the day, as a user, that’s not our problem. That’s probably what happens when you offload a lot of your competent staff to reduce costs.

        @gotyourback, you need to give us at least a time frame so we all don't wait in limbo. It has been a week, so there should be at least some information of what is going on and how long does it take to solve it.

  • Without getting any transparency from SB, I assume they are now deciding whether to re-track and lose money (less likely by the day) or string us along and hope we get over it.

      There has been no announcement as to why all the cashbacks were rescinded yet, which I find ridiculous. People who didn't use any eBay code for their purchase were also rejected. All they have done is acknowledge they are seeing the issue, but still to date no explanation as to why.

      There are numerous proof that the code was listed on their site too.

    The eBay rejection issues appear to be independent of whether a code or eBay gift card was used.
    I didn't use a code on my 3 orders. 2 of my orders were also paid in full with a St George card. All orders have been rejected.

    ShopBack seems to have gone backwards since the recent restructuring and staff changes. Last month, there were already inaccurate T&Cs/tracking discrepancies with BWS, Amazon, Priceline Pharmacy etc.

    On the ShopBack Super Savers Community Facebook page, there are reports of issues with other retailers including mistakes in T&Cs recently.

    It's disappointing to experience this level of incompetence considering ShopBack Australia hit $3 billion in sales last year.

  • I think whats annoying, is in the past GYB would have a fix within 24 hours. It's been a week and we have nothing. Beyond frustrating. Maybe we need to contact someone higher up at Shopback.

                  This was active at the time of the 3 May upsized cashback, but has since run out of rewards. I couldn't see any indication of limited rewards prior to this so it comes as a surprise. Pretty sure everyone with eBay orders from 3 May that are showing as $0 cashback have missed out on this now.

      Thanks GYB, great news. As others have said we were showing the challenge as complete (4 x $3 for me), and it now says all rewards claimed.

    • Might be jumping the gun here, but the original transaction that was declined (for me) was $17.03 but I just got a notification that I have cash back tracked at $0.56, which is a far cry from 10%.

      • Same. If you check the eBay Challenge, you can see they cut the tax out and split the order value into two or more. I don't understand why

    • Just a quick update. My bank bonus cashback has shown tracked on the app (but the date is showing today's date, the previous one that got rejected still there). Standard e-bay cashback and ebay loyality challenge ($3 per $100 bonus) seem hasn't been fixed yet.
