Will The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge Become an OzBargain Bargain?

I am wondering what are the thoughts of my fellow OzBers about Samsung's Galaxy S25 Edge.

The media reviews of the big-but-thin handset have been muted, to say the least. Apart from being skinny, it does not seem to have many must-have flagship features and is still pretty exxy; in some cases, it costs more than a S25 Ultra in a similar spec.

As a result, the Edge might not be a great success and that makes me think that when the Galaxy S26 cycle starts to get closer, could the Edge be knocked down to a price palatable to we few, we brave OzBers.

A flagship Galaxy S for under $1K? Under $750? $600, anyone?

Thoughts welcome.

    JB will have it $0 down 24m on Telstra contract soon or something similar. Might get it then, but I'm really concerned about the battery life. But then again I have started to charge my Pixel 9 Pro Max during day time as well.

      Having moved from a Pixel 9 Pro XL to Edge, I'm noticing almost no difference in real world usage. A few of the battery tests have shown the same also. I was concerned about battery as my main hesitation too, but its proven to be so much better than I expected

      If you got Pixel 9 pro max, it's an indication that you got a duplicate. The Chinese copy prob. Forgot to change max to xl on the box

    I don't know about Ozbargain favourite, but its definitely my favourite.

    I'm one of those 'buy a new phone every year' kinda guys and in fact, I chop and change multiple times in a year. In the last year, I've had the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, the Pixel 9 Pro XL, the S25+ and now the Edge.

    The Edge is the first one that I think has ruined other phones for me. I have no interest in switching to something else for the first time in a long time. As a number of the tech reviewers have said, Samsung have done something in terms of optimising the battery and it may be guinea pigging that tech for their other phones. I am noticing no difference in actual real world usage between my Galaxy S25 Edge and the Pixel 9 Pro XL I had before it, but I notice SO much difference in how much I love using this phone.

      As someone who is a hold it until it dies with my Samsung S8. I will gladly accept all donations of any of your non S25 phones lol

    I dont think the Edge has a varient with the s-pen like the S25 ultra aka like the original Note series which where all edge screens
