DeWALT 18V XR Brushless Framing Nailer, DCN692N-XE Tool Only. $399 Delivered @ Power Tool Specialists

90

An older model and no longer the best in class. But it is by far the cheapest cordless framing nailer I have seen in a very long time, if not ever.

This is typically $569 to $599 everywhere else. Even the Ryobi framing nailer is $599.

If you don't have Dewalt batteries, perhaps consider a battery adaptor, like these, https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/395823286597

I have an Ozito battery to Dewalt tool adaptor, plus an Ozito battery to Makita tool, and they work perfectly

These things are boat anchors. Cancel your gym membership and hold one of these above your heard for 5 minutes a day, you’ll be set.

They are a little heavy compared to pneumatic. At 4.1kg plus battery, this one is toward the lower end in weight for cordless framers though.

Any recommendations on the budget end? For home use 4 times a year type stuff?

        Hammer?

        • I screw frames together. Getting over it

      • This was the cheapest I have seen. And it was tool only.

Perhaps have a look at pneumatic framing nailers. They can be bought from around the $150 mark. Of course you will need a compressor, which can be bought from around $150. However, bear in mind, some smaller, cheaoer compressors might not be able to keep up and will be noisy.

Bunnings, Supercheap would be a good start to check things out.

      • use an air powered one instead

Good unit though, I have one of these for home DIY stuff and the fact it's cordless and not having to fear if there is enough gas left is worth it. As mentioned it is a little on the heavy side but pros use a pneumatic on the daily anyways

    • Also the noise factor, these are so much more quiet then the gas guns

      • Definitely, and I'm surprised how long the battery lasts too

Sorry, I think I may have bought the last one:) I was procrastinating, but it was too cheap to pass up.
