Totally looks like a fleshlight to me :|

        Apologies. Yeah meant flashlight…

If you are shaped like a pencil ?

    • +14

Yeah dude. My kids totally use this site all the time.

If only you'd taken time to think about the children!

Now they're ready the word 'fleshlight' they'll be scarred for life!

      • i'm wondering if socks are a better alternative… having teenagers, hormones and all. lol.

  • Shipping cost is added back after you enter PayPal details (and it recognises you're not in the UK I guess).

    • Yea, I've already updates costs after a voucher and adding shipping. Still a good price.

  • thanks mate, picked one up.

  • Cheers, I've grabbed one too…those phone batteries never seem to last long enough!

  • How fast does it charge?

It sounds like the battery itself will discharge if not being used, which means you have to keep this thing topped up regularly even if it's only being used as an emergency charger?

  • How does this compare with the portable chargers on ebay?

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/2600mAh-USB-Power-Bank-Portable-E…

    • The no-names may be more likely to spontaneously combust? :D

Seems like these all probably use 18650 batteries internally. I was looking at YouTube reviews and it actually appears there's at least two versions of the Pebble Smartstick - this unboxing shows a design very similar to the eBay ones you linked, with a standard USB A port, while this one has a small, round socket. Appears the overall size of latter might be a bit smaller, but it's hard to tell.

  • Guess this doesn't work with the IPAD ?

    • Think so cause Output Voltage - 5V/500mAh

  • seems expensive for 2200mah. can't you get packs from china with much higher capacity for that price?

  • Thanks Op. but its not 1.95GBP for any amount, I bought 2 and it was 2.95 GBP delivery

    • I bought 2 and the shipping is 1.95GBP and 10.44GBP for each item with the 5% voucher.

  • Sounds great! Bought one, thanks.

  • Output Voltage - 5V/500mAh

Any on eBay that output at 5V/1A?

Warning to who have newer smartphones : Because this battery only outputs 500mA it will take ages (6~8 hours) to charge newer smartphones (like the Galaxy S3, HTC One X, Nexus 4 etc..) Don't even think of using it with a tablet!. I have a Sanyo 2000mAh (500mA@5V), but its pretty useless with my HTC One X, can't even maintain the battery level (let alone charge it) during a call with screen off !. Then I got a 4700mAh 1A@5V battery, its as fast as the wall charger. If you have a newer smartphone and want a usable battery pack then get something rated at 1A dont waste your money with this and 100s of otter such battery packs out there rated at 500mA.

If you don't mind carrying something a little larger, then the Yoobao 11200mAh is a good buy. Because of its large capacity you can do multiple recharge cycles. It also can output to two devices at once, USB1 can do max 1000mAh and USB2 can do max 2000mAh. Great for mobile phones as well as tablets and cameras. It also comes with all kind of connectors and has very good reviews. Cost is @24.86

      • Great recommendation. For that price is the true capacity over/close to 10000mAh?

      • I have seen a video that someone bought a portable battery and he opened up the cover and there are 2 bags of sand and 1 small battery in the middle …. :)

Gotta watch out what you are buying nowadays …

      • Looked into it and it seems to be a very good choice. Thinking of getting one. Just be warned that eBay is filled with fakes. The real deal costs around $50 or so and charges an iPhone 6-7 times with one charge. The one you've listed is definitely fake and will probably give you just 1 charge if you're lucky.

It's hard to know what really is genuine. It looks like Dealextreme have the real one.

And here's a cheaper one they've listed which I'm guessing is the knockoff.

        http://dx.com/p/10000mah-external-battery-mobile-power-bank-…

Alternatively, there's a 6600maH version (so charges iPhone 3 times or so with 1 charge)

        http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/150764821581?ssPageName=STRK:MEWA… (probably real?)

        http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/120924956313?ssPageName=STRK:MEWA… (probably fake)

      • I actually bought this one from this ebay seller ( bosscat2011 )
real capacity was only ~3000mah (half charged my ipad 2)
i test cycled it 3 tiems with similar results
        i'm asking for a 2/3 refund

  • They are around $10 on other websites.

    • Link please

      • you can find them on aliexpress

I own a Samsung Galaxy S3, so I prefer just to carry a second battery around on the rare occasions that I think I will need one (e.g. when travelling). A spare battery is smaller and you don't have to worry about connecting another device to charge the phone up, just swap the battery and you have 100% battery straight away. I know this is not an option for some users, just thought I'd mention it though because some people oddly seem to overlook this.

  • Got an email stating mine was shipped. Last time I ordered from MyMemory, it took 4 weeks for delivery - hopefully this will be faster!!

    • I just got one of mine (I ordered three). I'm not sure if the other two are coming separately. Maybe something to watch out for others.

      • Ordered 2 and both arrived in the same satchel
