mannabeans, are these roasted for filter? or espresso?

    • +2

There is a huge variety of coffee beans here and all of them can be used for either espresso or filter or as you deem fit. In general the sweeter, malty, toffee, chocolatey flavours tend to be more popular in milk based coffees and some of the higher quality grand cru beans with more floral and fruity qualities also make for great espresso or long black coffees. For more info on the coffees please jump onto our website. Most of these coffees I will roast to a meduim roast however for some of the coffees if they are more suited for lighter or darker roasts I will roast them accordingly

      • Thanks, i'll check it out!

  • Theres no way my wife and i could get through 2kg of coffee before it went stale. Wish these deals were of smaller quantities… 500 g maybe

I'm in the same boat. Any Brisbane OzBargainers want to split this with me?

Very rare opportunity for a limited time only.

Is that code for "we have all these leftover batches that we want to get rid of"? $70 for 2kg beans is pretty much the standard price from most roasters.

    • +7

No this is definately not the case. I am ordering in 20 different kinds of beans and fresh roasting between the 25th and 29th as per the description.

Also you are right $70 for 2kgs of beans is pretty standard for roasters but not for 20 different coffees bags with some more expensive beans

      • +8

And add in the cost of 20x bags and extra labour to fill them.

        Nice idea!

      • Not to mention they're individually packaged so you can easily share them with friends and family.

      • Are you ordering 20 types, or 30 types as shown on the page?

When will we know what 20 we are getting?

    • +2

      Pessimistic much?
Not a bad deal at all.
      I'm in.

      • +2

        Good on you!

      • -3

Nope, just letting people know that it's not really a great price and the are probably better deals out there. Each to his own

        • you were corrected that these were not surplus bags lying around but freshly roasted, that changes the value somewhat

    • Expensive but you are paying for the variety. THat's the point. It's like when you go to the supermarket and the price per kg is cheaper when you buy a larger pack.

  • Add me in.

First order from you guys, so lets hope its as good as promised!

Coffee is srsbsns in our house.

    • Hi Natt, good to have you onboard ;-)
srsbsns? Couldn't work this one out

      • +1

        srsbsns = serious business

        • Ahhh of course, thanks Robby

How long will these maintain the freshness if not opened?
I still have 500g of the previous order left.

I wish this deal was on before. Getting to try so many varieties in small quantities for just a little more than the 2x1kg bag pricing is unique.

    • Depending on how quick you drink you're existing 500g, this deal could still be good for you as all coffee is not being roasted and despatched until the 25th - 29th April.

  • Any chance of getting it ground? Very interested but I don't want to buy a grinder, would make the deal kinda obsolete. How long til coffee goes stale? Thanks

    • +1

Coffee as at it's freshest for just the first few weeks although can obviously be drunk for a long time after just that the unique flavour characteristics of the beans will start to drop off and you'll end up with the similar coffee to what a lot of Australia is used to from big cafe chains or supermarket.

Unfortunately due to the nature of the deal we can not offer ground with this promo but am prepared to sell you a Hario Skerton Ceramic Burr grinder MSCS-2TB for additional $59.95 Obviously grinding as you go and storing whole beans in a cool dark place in airtight valved bag supplied will ensure that you get the maximum freshnest from your coffee

  • Id buy if it was 200g baggies. 100g doesn't suit my machine so I'd be constantly blending and not having a good run on each variety.

    • +1

I hear you Stumo, not every deal is suitable for everyone. Will give it some consideration for a future deal :-)

  • good gift idea for party bags or bonbonniere :)

    any chance of forward ordering?

easter is gone, so that leaves eofy, christmas…

    • Sorry but it's not practical to order on an individual basis as all our coffee is fresh roasted to order. As I need to roast a minimum of 2kg at a time and with over 20 types of coffee we would be left with heaps of excess and would prove very costly for us. Only practical if I roast all 20 coffees on the same day and ship fresh to multiple people at the same time.

Thanks for your input though, probably a promo similar to this would also be good at Christmas time

      • fair enough… i forgot as well about mother's day - sunday 12th may :)

also agree with others that 150-200g bags might be better - allows one to self-blend and 20 varieties is perhaps too many, another alternative is 2x 100g each of 10 different coffees

ya a 12 days of christmas one - with 200g baggies

On the first day of Christmas my true love gave to me .. Kimel A from PNG (that rhymes you know)

OK this why you should not take cold&flu meds with codeine in them

    • Ha Ha nice one, go easy you don't want to fall asleep ;-)

On the 11th day of Christmas my true love gave to me Kenya Tekangu FCS Karogoto AB!
Bit of a mouthfull though, see if you can say that tongue twister on your cold and flu meds lol

    • +6

On the twelfth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me..

      12 affogatos
      11 cafe lattes
      10 cappuccinos
      9 short ristrettos
      8 chai lattes
      7 decaf espressos
      6 piccolo lattes
      5 Mach——i——at——os
      4 flat whites
      3 types of grinders
      2 desktop roasters

And a Kimel A from PNG

      • Thanks James, if only they were audible comments ;-) Sounds like you'd be pretty wired leading upto Christmas.

  • Great Deal!!!.. Already put my order in.

  • Need this like a hole in the head… Still going through past order.

BUT, chance to try multiple interesting coffees is not to be sneezed at.

The effort to get all this carefully roasted, packaged and dispatched is pretty major!

Coffee is srsbsns in our house too!

  • Hi there,

You have a new deal that's great ! Cant wait for my order to arrive. Keep up the good roasting ! :)

  • Giving this a go so I can find out what kinds of coffee I might like!

    Hopefully they're all good. :)

Shame it's only 100g baggies, means I'm going to have a half full hopper for a while.

  • Drinking some of your coffee right now. Good deal.

  • Any chance you can do 10 x 200g bags instead?

    • .

    • Read up, they already answered that. (The answer is no.)

  • Just ordered :)
