Their 'editor' has terrible taste in books…

Quite a few of them are out of copyright and can be had from sites like Project Gutenberg. One reason I haven't signed up for Google Play books yet is that like Amazon you need to register a payment method, even though the books are free, and no charge will be made. I suppose eventually I will.

Many of these, if not all are always free. I still grabbed a couple of fitness books to read though, thanks.

realised that fitness books do not make me fit just by reading them

I reckon I burnt a few calories today buying all 46 books!

    requires a credit card

    • and that's why I guess I'll avoid google play books… keeps asking me for a credit card too!

      • It can just be the normal debit card, and I guess everyone has one of those!
And if you're gonna give someone your card details, give it to google.

But if some day you decide to buy something, you will get charged an overseas transaction fee, so maybe the 28degrees card would be better.

most of these are probably always free… if they aren't, they should be…

  • I like "The Picture of Dorian Grey" and "King Solomon's Mines". Though H Rider Haggard has been out of vogue for some decades now.

  • oh, good to know that, but tried Dark Child already, said "error"
