Hi ATO, if you had the time we would love some feed back on how we could improve or make it more attractive.

      • Rosa Pentium Home Desktop PC - $452 = $402

Case Gigabyte GZ-M3 Black, Mini Tower Case, 420W PSU
CPU Intel G2020 Pentium 2.9GHz Dual Core
        HARD DRIVE 500GB SATA3 7200RPM
        DVD 24x DVD-RW Optical Drive
        MEMORY 4GB DDR3 1333MHz
OPERATING SYSTEM Microsoft Windows 8 64bit

        MSY comparison:

        Mobo - Asus P8B75-M-LX - $65
        G2020 (onboard GPU) - $59
        500GB HDD - $56
        ODD - $18
        4GB RAM - $30
        Case + PSU - Thermaltake V3 - $69
        Windows 8 - $99
        Building Fee - $70
        TOTAL - $466

So it's quite decent and definitely comparable. It's not by any means a bad deal.
@Rep - Maybe include Windows 8 as an add-on? There's a few who prefer linux or other OSes
http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/97223 - This deal went bonkers a few months ago, might be a good starting point to tailor deals to the OzB community

          Thanks Jezzzzza,

That's a great idea. We have gone ahead and implemented this already.

All Desktop PCs now come with no O/S as standard. If windows is in the same order with any Desktop PC we will install and set it up free of charge.

Edit : Also if you missed our previous OzBargain post we still have free assembly on any custom PC purchased from our website for those who would like to select alternative components. http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/100472

      • Perhaps place a picture of me on the website?

Please email your best photo to sales [at] evatech.com.au and we will consider importing it when we're next adding content. Thanks so much! :)

    • Can't really weight in without sounding bias but for reference our Rosa is built on all brand new name brand parts. Our motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-H61MA-D3V motherboard with USB 3.0, SATA3. The RAM is Corsair and the Power Supply, the hard drive is Western Digital is Gigabyte also.

And also the CPU's in our ROSA is a 22nm higher clocked Intel G2020 compared to the other two G530's.

  • I am into the Ceberus i5K Gaming set. Just wondering which manufacturer of all of your PC part such as CPU, Motherboard, graphic card. And what motherboard did u used for this i5K? Is there any option that i can upgrade to Blu-ray Read/DVD Rewrite and 16 Gb Memory of RipJawx? How much is the add on?

    • Hi,

The current specs of the Cerebeus system are as follows:
CPU: Intel i5-3570K Core i5 3.4GHz, Quad Core
Mobo: ASRock Z77M Intel 1155 Motherboard
      RAM: G.Skill DDR3-2133 8GB [RipjawsX] F3-17000CL11D-8GBXL
Case: BitFenix RAIDER Black Mid-Tower Case
PSU: FSP 750W Raider Series 80Plus Bronze PSU
Optical drive: Samsung SATA Black Internal 24x Speed Plus DVDRW Drive
      Graphics card: Gigabyte GF GTX 670 OC EDITION PCI-E 3.0 2GB 256-bit DDR5
HDD: Western Digital 1TB Caviar Blue Hard Drive
That list is subject to change in future, but that's the current list.

All of those products are available individually on our site. The DVD costs $20 and the BluRay combo is $59, which is a difference of $39. The 8GB RAM is $77, and the 16GB you want ( http://evatech.com.au/1600mhz/601-gskill-ddr31600-16gb-ripja… ) is $130, a difference of $53. A total difference of $92.

You can put any parts you want to into your own custom build and use our $0 assembly promotion ( http://evatech.com.au/services/1101-free-system-assembly-pro… ) - to make sure you are paying the right amount and we know what parts to include in the build, etc.

      • If I were you, I'd swap out that ASRock for a decent brand (like Gigabyte or Asus), remove the optical drive (who uses them in 2013 with USB drives?), replace that slow harddrive with a decent one for about $10-30 more (or better yet, get a solid state drive), and maybe upgrade to the 3770 for i7 and about a %20 boost in CPU performance (allowing you to upgrade graphics card in the future without fear of a cpu bottleneck)

This would probably only cost about $150 more? Considering you're already spending over $1,000 you may aswell make it semi-future proof for a year or two more. :)

        • @lukyjay: I plan to do what you said. But the thing is i dont really know which Harddrive is good in their website to switch since SSD is over price for my budget. and what is different between socket 1115 n 2011
          Thanks

        • You can find the difference between sockets from a quick Google search :)

So you don't want a solid state drive? Are you sure? The difference is incredible. If you do wan't a mechanical cheaper drive, and from this company.. why not try this for decent storage, price and pretty good speed for a mechanical drive: http://evatech.com.au/35inch-sata/450-western-digital-1tb-ca…

      • I believe that a few hours ago, this Ceberus i5K only 1110 $ AUS. And now it is 1170. Is my eye have problem or you r just increase the price?

        • hi gozyla86,

you might be correct, its possible that our change to the systems earlier this morning (removing windows and making an optional add on) did not update correct and was corrected by a second automatic update later in the afternoon.

If you do a tally of all the components you will find the total plus the standard assembly charge to be the price of the system (which is discounted by the coupon code almost entirely)

If you would like to order the components separately and add the $0 promotional assembly fee it would actually come out $10 cheaper. [unintentional consequence of running multiple promotions at once :)]

        • Hm, it make me a bit disapointed.

  • Im in the market for a new pc and would like to buy sometime this week, went into Visiontech the other day since they are 5min away and for my budget I can either get this http://www.visiontech.com.au/computers/desktops/gaming-media… or go for the Ceberus i5 gaming system. Now I dont know much about pc's or builds as Im a total noob at this, which of the 2 would play BF3, BF4 and other games that need really good gfx cards? Pros and cons? Idc if they sound bias :) Thankyou

    • I just quickly put together a bunch of products that matched visiontech's description as close as possible and it came out to $999 in just parts, using our current advertised prices. Obviously that's fairly rough work on my behalf, but it seems like if you were to pick out your own parts and go through us you would be saving some coin, even after shipping costs I dare say.

If you'd like to discuss your needs further, feel free to email us; sales [at] evatech.com.au and will reply at our earliest convenience (as you can see, still posting here at nearly 9:30pm). We will do our best to meet your performance and price needs, ensuring compatibility on the parts assembled.

Of course, you're welcome to shop around as well. Just make sure you do your research before our promotion(s) expire. They really are good value for those who don't know how to, or are just too lazy/don't have the time to put together their own system.

Edit: I'm fairly certain I forgot to put in a case, however, as visiontech's specs didn't list one (even though you obviously need a case, somehow I let that slip through my mind). As stated, please email and I'll compile a more thorough list with prices for you.
      My sincere apologies!

  • Aww. The only i5-3470 you have is the mini-ITX one. It's cute though. XD

    • +1

I actually owned that case personally up until a month or two ago (no longer needed two PCs at home). It's a great case (Betfenix Prodigy Black, for those playing at home). The top and bottom are a little flexible and the case can wobble slightly if your cat or something decides to brush against it - like mine always did - but it's very strong and won't fall over or anything. I often carried the case from the 'handles' even.

Remember, you can custom build your own parts and we will assemble for free with our other current promotion. Details of that promo can be found here: http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/100472
