Best prepaid mobile option

I barely use my phone other than to call family members.

My whole family was with vodafone 365 prepaid option, where $30 credit expires after a year and you get 300 minutes of free vodafone to vodafone calls. This suited us fine however the 300 minutes ran out early.

We all recently switched to lyca mobile, credit never expires and unimited calls from lyca to lyca.

However it seems that some text messages are not coming through with lyca (friends have mentioned they have texted me but I have not gotten the message).

I was wondering if anyone knew of another alternative with long credit expirely and "free" calls to family members?

    If you can't receive messages make sure you haven't filled your phones storage right to the max. It happened to me before and i deleted a few apps and all my messages came through.

      Nop, I am still getting messages from other people, not getting any messages from a particular friend and getting every odd one from a different friend.
