Please read the reviews here and on the web for them and their sister company, DWI. you'd be taking a huge risk in dealing with them.

Purchased a new lens for my Nikon camera. Price was nearly half of what Australian retailers were asking for the exact same item. It arrived 2 days after placing the order. Very happy!

I have been buying from eglobal for over 3 yrs. I have purchased over 10k in equipment. Supreme price and service.
    Buy with confidence.

Also chat with chick on website to get $10 voucher code.

  • I know there's bad reviews but I've never had any issues with them. Latest I bought from them was a Nexus 7 3G tablet when it first released, cheapest around plus I managed to get another $10 discount on top of that, arrived in a few days when their stock arrived.

Be aware that people's experience with them with camera usually (but not always) differs totally with that for other electronic equipment, particularly phones etc.

Do you have any experiences to share or just beware beware….
I have had only positive ones.

      • Sure do! Have told my story here heaps of times.

OP if you decide to go ahead with a purchase from them, please be sure to use PayPal (or next best option, credit card) to pay. And if through no fault of your own you have to return an item to them, be sure to use a shipping method with BOTH tracking and a signature.

  • Thanks everyone. I might just go with DSE or Myer to get my MacBook. Hopefully a sale soon.

Whatever you do, DON'T order from eglobaldigitalcameras.com.au you won't get your order in 3 to 5 work days as they claim.

Ordered the Motorola Moto G 16Gb from eglobaldigitalcameras.com.au on 18 Feb 2014. Website did not indicate that phone is out of stock. When order was submitted, I received an email to say that their supplier will only bring in the phone on 26 Feb 2014 (a week after the order was placed).

After several queries, they said they are packing it today and still won't confirm when they will ship it to me. I foresee I will only get my phone next week — two weeks after ordering! This Hong Kong dealer operating under an Aussie domain online works on pre-orders. You order, they contact their supplier, you wait. They won't ship your order immediately as they claim and you certainly won't get what you ordered in 3 to 5 work days as they claim on their site. What a sham! There are better online retailers out there. Buyers beware!

    • Having the same problem right now. Purchased a Oneplus One last week, they said they were out of stock and they will restock on the 22nd. The 22nd Aug past and they still didnt ship out my order. Its the 25th Aug right now and still nothing shipped.

  • FYI,

Long time lurker first time poster so take this as you will.
I ordered a lens from eglobal on Tuesday around 11.00am and it turned up to my work 9.00am this morning literally less than 2 days.

The item was shipped via dhl, wrapped in bubble wrap and clearly labelled. I know people have had trouble with phones and other items from eg but this is jut my 2c about my dealings with them.

Will order again from them if needed.

  • I purchased samsung galaxy s5 prime(korean version) few months ago and I was thinking to use the phone in korea. Of course I believed that the phone will be working in Korea as it says korean version. the phone is functionally pretty good but i couldn't use that in korea coz IMEI number has been reported as lost in Korea market which means the phone was activated via SK Telecom(kind of company as telstra or optus) and lost by someone. after that the phone was dealing in the black market and export to hongkong and then I purchased that from Eglobal.

I complained regarding the phone is not working in Korea even if it comes from the origin country and why the company sell lost product. But they were trying to avoid their fault. and they knew that the phone is not working in Korea. I couldn't find any information about that the phone is specially not working in Korea on the web site.

There is no reason samsung korea block that phone as lost if they want to sell the phone in normal market or export purpose. Furthermore, All the samsung unlocked phone is working in Korea except I purchased from Eglobal.

They are hiding something. and i can tell it is 100% lost phone in Korea as I contacted the carrier, SK telecom, which is locked with. this matter is not relative with samsung korea, they don't sell the locked phone but only carrier lock the phone for marketing purposes.

I attach the email conversation and see how they play with consumers.

Me : complained about the phone via chatting and they want to email me the answer. and I provide IMEI and photos of the phone they asked

Eglobal : Thank you for your reply with the details. After checking with our product team, we can confirm Our Korean version mobiles are exported goods designed for usage outside Korea region. If customer use the mobile within Korea, it may trigger region restriction by local carriers or manufacturers.
The phone should be functioning in Australia

Me : What you are saying doesnt make any sense at all. So I only can use the mobile in aus not any other country and this is probably because it got reported as lost. What kind of theory behind of that? You buy the phone only to use in the certain country? Thats hillourious.
It is absolutely not legally acceptible to use the lost phone! You guys sold the stolen phone in other words.
why the heck then did you guys put it as Korean version which you cant use in Korea.

Eglobal : With regards to your query we apologize for the inconvenience as we would like to also indicate that the model itself is Korean version as most of our customers would like to know if it is original Korean phone and our main market is AU and NZ.
It is just unfortunate that base on the reports that we received recently that Korean phone companies such us LG and Samsung has overstock their products in Korea which they have push to export the products outside Korea. But in effect they don't want the products to be returned to Korea and have anyone sell it again to Korea which results in blocking the IMEI when use in Korea.

Me : I dont care about the condition inKorea. The matter I want to point out is that why I cant use the phone in other country apart from Aus. This is because its lost/stolen phone and you guys just made me as a thief cause I am using the lost/stolen phone! You treat the customer like that? Why didnt you guys tell me in the first place that the phone is not able to use in the other country? Is this the way you guys keep your business?
You better explain to me why you sold the used phone as a new and find out how I can use this phone anywhere else other than aus. This just freaks me out.

Eglobal : Rest assured that the phone is brand new and not stolen. As the phones or our products are specific for AU market and usage. The phone may also work in other countries except Korea. Please be reminded that it is directly Samsung Korea which blocked the IMEI for Korea usage. Thank you for your understanding.

Me : I still havent heard that why you guys didnt mention that the phone cannot be used in Korea in the first place.
Secondly, dont blame on Samsung Korea. As I'm a customer, I don't need to know whose fault it is only I want to know is how you guys are gonna solve this matter.
This is entirely your reponsible to sell the phone which is blocked to use in certain county without any notice.
As I am a customer, I have a right to know the fact of the product before I purchace the product.
( Email them around lunch time but no more respond till late night)

  • Looks like a lot of people have bought from them

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/deals/eglobaldigitalcameras.com…

  • I bought a camera (waterproof Canon)from eGlobal with a 2 year extended warranty and just after 12 months it failed. They were very difficult to deal with for the warranty claim right from the word go. They certainly had no intention of honouring the warranty they offered and lied and cheated and never even returned the failed camera despite me paying for them to do so (more fool me). They even sent me images of my supposedly damaged camera only it was a different colour. They are the most dishonest company I have ever had they displeasure to deal with.
Oh and forget about the consumer protection organisations in Hong Kong they era useless-all they do is send a letter to the company who then ignore it and that it as far as they go.
I would never ever deal with them again and would not even buy from another Hong Kong based company without a presence in Australia.

  • Worst Warranty Service Ever

I bought a Samsung Galaxy S5 Duos from eGlobal Digital Cameras Australia in September 2014 but had a fault with it in January 2015. When I first contacted them, I had to prove that it was a warranty issue by contacting other manufacturers and collecting statements. When they finally accepted that it was a warranty claim I found out that they have no Australian based repair center, so I had to waste time finding a courier that would transport the lithium Ion battery overseas to Hong Kong which was very expensive. When It was repaired and returned, there was no paperwork on what the fault was or what repairs were done. When I chased the info, they simply messaged back a very brief and basic description of what was done.
The same fault happened again a few months later and I have just received it back from them. This time they said they couldn't find any fault and charged me return postage as well. I started using the phone today and it has the same fault still present.

I had a phone repair company look at and fix my phone over the weekend. Their Technician said the phone didn't appear to have ever been opened and the fault was with the screen. They replaced the screen and the phone is working fine now.

PS. They are not even an Australian company. The only thing that they have in association with Australia is their domain name. Their warehouse, call center and repair center are all in Hong Kong.

  • I have bought probably around $2k worth of phones SLR lenses and what not.

Here's the thing, I'd be very wary of buying from them again. I havent had a warranty issue but that's more because I bought good stuff… ie. Nikon, Motorola etc.

There have been a lot of bad stories so… yeah. Its like Kogan. My purchases fro m them need to be considered.

  • Similar experience to others here, I ordered a camera from eGlobal with the specific purpose of taking it on holidays. They quoted me under a week for it to arrive, which was fine as I ordered it just over three weeks before my departure date. In the end the camera arrived the day before i was to fly out of the country, by then i was already looking at having to make another last minute emergency purchase elsewhere, just so i wasn't left without a camera for the trip. Luckily things turned out ok in the end, but yea, a very nervous wait for delivery and a final delivery time roughly triple what they had promised. The product however was fine, no problems there.

  • I have just bought a Microsoft Lumia XL Dual 4G but eGloal Digital Cameras send the wrong model a 3G. They want me to return it unused and still in the original box or there is no refund. How this is possible beats me as one will have to switch the phone on to find out the model.
I urge others to never ever purchase anything from them. I am so angry that the totally ignore me

Do not buy from this website!!!
I bought a Sony Xperia Z3 Compact from eGlobal a year ago. The delivery was fast and I saved approx. $150 compared to buying the phone in Australia. I got about 3 months of use out of it before it started to just turn itself off randomly. I used the RMA system and organised to send the phone back. Unfortunately I didn’t realise how expensive this would be. Australia Post wouldn’t touch it because of the battery and I had to use a courier which cost $100. I had the phone looked at by an authorised Sony repairer prior to sending it to see if it would be cheaper to fix here. They said the motherboard was faulty and it would cost more than the phone was worth to fix. For this reason I sent it back to eGlobal and let them know what was wrong. Weeks go by with emails and it becomes clear they don’t understand English very well as you go in circles trying to explain something and then you get a response that doesn’t even make sense. Eventually they tell me it was the battery and not the motherboard and send it back to me.
It worked so I didn’t question it further. I got another 3 months out of it before the EXACT same fault happened again. I told them and they didn’t care at all or admit at all that they didn’t adequately fix the problem. Of course they are happy for you to send it back because they don’t have to pay the huge postage. After sending it back a second time and again going in circles with their terrible English they tell me it is working fine and there is no problem at all with the phone. I wasn’t going to pay them any more money for return postage considering the phone is a piece of junk and will probably break down again so I ended up abandoning it and now I’ve spent about the same amount I would have if I bought the phone in Australia except I have no phone to show for it. So in summary:
1.They sell ‘grey imports’ which are an inferior product and hence why they are not covered by an Australia warranty.
2.It will cost you a fortune and a lot of time to send an item back to Hong Kong if something goes wrong.
3.You will get terrible service by the repair team. They will not adequately fix your product, just enough to be able to send it back to you. They will keep doing this until your 12 month warranty runs out and they no longer have to do anything.
4.Despite saving hundreds to start with you will potentially lose all this and more.

Just spend the extra couple of hundred dollars and buy authentic Australian stock with an Australian warranty.
At the very least there are many online companies that sell grey imports for similar prices but they have Australian based repair centres. Use these websites if you need to go cheap. Whatever you do avoid eGlobal like the plague, they are just not worth it.

Warranty claims are a disaster with this company. Took days to respond with claim and now I find that they have no Australian repair centre. I have to post it back to Hong Kong.
I agree with previous comment. Just spend a little extra and buy through an Australian company. I agree avoid eglobal like the plague…it is going to be considerably more expensive for you if you have a warranty issue it will cost you a motza. I will never buy from this company again

  • one word thieves.don't buy from them i bought one plus two from them.came as faulty.sent back.they said they didn't received it.i lost $500.

gotta love that so many '1 comment' accounts are posting here…

  • I bought a phone off them fine.

  • This is my experience with eglobal and I will not buy from them again

A Mobile phone was purchased from eglobal
    1) Product was faulted on or before 6/07/16 and support request email was sent to eglobal.

“Subject: Re: eGlobaL Digital Cameras: Order #161xxx Has been dispatched.
    Hello,
The phone I purchased from you " Sony Xperia C5 Ultra E5563 4G Dual Sim 16GB Unlocked Mobile" is intermittently shutting down.I have done the following

    1) turned on in safe mode and still it was shutting down
    2) Remove sd card and problem was still there
    3) Used with one sim card and still same problem.
Please Advise me on warranty repair work? “

    3) I was asked to obtain an RMA case number and provide video evidence of the product fault. 12/07/2016 I provided all the information requested by eglobal.
    4) Phone was shipped on 14/07/2016 and delivered to eglobal on 22/07/16.
Please check below link for verification. ( AUS post-delivery confirmation)
    5) After two weeks eglobal acknowledged receiving my shipment ( 04/08/16.) 3 weeks for a parcel to be delivered in Hong Kong is unusual.

    6) Following information was provided upon request for update on repair work on 04/08/16

    “Thank you for your message.
We received your item on 4.8.16. The faulty item for repair which may take approximately 3-4 weeks to be completed. We shall be contact you as soon as we have received your repaired item via this ticket.
In the meantime, should have any further enquiries, please feel free to contact us .
PS: if the returned item was an HTC/ASUS product it can take up to 5-6 weeks for the repair.”

eglobal is holding my phone longer than 4 weeks and it is not HTC/ASUS product.

If the phone cannot be repaired within reasonable time, phone should be replaced with new phone or refunded.

I let you make the decision to buy from eglobal ?

  • 12 weeks , i have not got my phone back. Getting legal advice to resolve the issue. Never again
I hope, this post will save someone’s time.

  • I bought a Samsung Gear S2, which seemed like a good deal. The process was straight-forward and fast delivery so pretty happy at that point. Now, it turns out I cannot use Samsung Pay on it because the watch is not an Australian watch and that feature is therefore disabled. With a .com.au website I'm expecting all products should work fully in the country. Be aware of this, at least on Samsung products that may have those restrictions!

  • DO NOT USE!!!!!! Worst company I've ever dealt with. Bought a mobile phone with them in March; the phone had an intermittent fault where it would just starting typing random letters all by itself and flittering between different screens. I took a video of the fault and emailed it to eGlobal, telling them I wanted a full refund. They told me I had to send them the phone for them to test. So, I sent them the phone, and for 3 weeks they argued that they could not find a fault. All this despite the fact that I sent them a video of the fault as proof.

They refused a refund for weeks, then eventually they said they would provide a refund less a $50 pick up fee, which I still don't even know what that refers to. I'm still arguing with them about it - why should I pay any more money when the phone is clearly faulty. They've had my phone for nearly 6 weeks now, and I am still no closer to a resolution, and have not had a phone in all that time.

I cannot stress this enough……DO NOT USE eGLOBAL - LITERALLY THE WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH.

    • damn, i'm having a similar problem. they're offered $100 store credit for $300 phone. i'm trying to get full refund but have no other avenues since they're in HK. Dodgy as!

  • Sounds like they are a syndicate of thieves that deal with stolen and black market goods. Warranty? Don't even think about it. Treat it like secondhand goods: risk losing it all by buying cheap.
