Telstra Mobile Hidden Charge

Hi all ,

Has anyone experienced hidden charges while using Mobile Phone with Telstra ?

Recent I have found out that I have been charged under section "Separate Purchases " extra $60 /month on top what I have agreed with Telstra .

Quite upset I rang Telstra and was told that each time I receive a message from NETSZE number 1300 785 025 , automatically I have to pay $5/message regardless I accept it or not . That sounds really weird as I am totally not aware or consented for those deal .

Finally I got refund from and Telstra and that number is barred to send message to my mobile number .

I have found that those unwanted messages are very annoyed me , and how to stop them ??

    Premium SMS has nothing to do with Telstra. You prob signed up accidentally following a free promo/competition or had a few too many drinks watching late night tv ads. Telstra can barr premium SMS but you will need to unsubscribe to any existing subscriptions you have yourself. Usually you reply with STOP otherwise the company will have a phone number you can ring. You are pretty lucky to get a credit from Telstra as Telstra is essentially footing your bill to that subscriber.

    with tpg mobile you can disable premium services. i imagine it would be possible with telstra as well if you ask.

    nonsense, if he didn't consent to receiving messages from them then he is entitled to have the charges reversed.

      I've done this with Telstra, I called up and asked for Premium SMS/MMS and call barring to be enabled.
