  Note regular price for salad bar is $26.00 .
  So even at 1/2 price it still costs more than regular price in the US, where it comes from. Seems a lot for a self-serve fast-food chain.

  Is the salad bar that good? I might have to give it a go. What time is safest to get fresh salad?

    Salad bar is pretty mehhhhh in my opinion. Great if you have kids, they'll love it! -but not worth it otherwise!

    You might as well ask why does a Big Mac meal cost more than other Asian countries. Safest time to get fresh salad is NY time 8am.

      Actually, I thought McDonalds was rather cheap in Australia. Comaparable to the US.
      Why would you compare to Asia?

      All these places cost more in Aus that US due to higher wages. But Sizzler is positioned far more up-market in price, relative to local options (e.g. pub), that its parent in the US.

      I should just duck in for a look at the salad bar when passing.

    I reckon it's good value, if you go when it's busy you'll get fresher stuff as they have to keep filling it up

    When I went recently (first time in a VERY long time) we didn't get the free cheesy bread we did many moons ago…. Not sure if that is just a WA thing.

  Remember the offer is simply for "Salad Bar" buy one get one free, it means you have to buy 2 drinks with this offer if you wish to drink.

  It works out $12 each for 2 salad and drinks at lunch, $16.95 for the same at dinner (works out to be 5c cheaper than standard lunch price without drink).
