Looking for some ideas on where I can get a well known branded mens watch with the metal bands.
I've been looking at the Seiko's/ Citizens on ebay but they are all O/S and i sort of need it for a birthday present which has already passed - whoops :(
I've seen a few of the timex ones but haven't heard anything about the brand personally.
Any ideas would be most welcome!
i definitely recommend 'orient' as a budget brand that still looks and works very well. orient are owned by seiko (or the other way around, cant remember).
but yes, you'll want to buy from one of those stores that 'k' suggested. that said, ive bought from 'discount watch store' based in the US and received my orient watch within 5 business days…i was very impressed.
There was a really nice timex watch post here yesterday from an urbanoutfitters sale - $99. Would have bought it myself if I didn't have a mortgage and 4 watches.
As xyron suggested, Orient is a good brand. The Orient Mako is one of the most popular watches among the Watchuseek guys and it can be had for under $100 if you know where to look.
Citizen Eco-Drives are nice and great value :)
Watch nut here. Agree with the recommendations from the other guys above and with the websites mentioned. I have also bought a Seiko SKX007 from Mrwatch.com. They have some deals and if you search around for coupon codes you can normally find a % off deal.
Not sure about your timeline or how much you are wanting to spend but if you are interested, a Kiwi boutique watch brand called Magrette is about to launch a new watch. They are taking pre-orders for their 'professional' model. I have paid the deposit for a stainless steel model with the blue face. Watch has a Miyota (Citizen) auto movement in it. Magrette get a pretty good rep amongst the online watch collecting fraternity. Skagen. Costco has a black metal one for $79.99 but Catch Of The Day yesterday advertised lots of different ones for around $70. Usually $200-300. Danish company.

There is a difference between "Good Branded" and "generic chinese fashion watch with an impressive brand stamped on the front". If you give some idea of taste and budget some of us could make a recommendation or 2.
