  • Pack a picnic lunch and take her to the botanic gardens. (I can't find the post that tells me how to do bullets sorry.)

    If she is into gardening, a potted (perhaps flowering) plant is not only cheaper than a bunch of flowers, but will last a lot longer.

    • I think you just have to buy an adult ticket, then you get a ticket for your mum.
