I have an iPhone 5 that my work provides for me so for my general communications needs I am OK. I have my own small part time business though that is quite seperate to my day job and for that I have a seperate mobile that I carry. The phone is an older Samsung running an older (pre ICS) version of Android. I bought the phone seperately from the plan but the plan is a $10 Crazy John's plan that doesnt expire until Oct. The wife and kids are also on Crazy John's plans and i can call them for free I think over the Crazy John's network using this phone (or use my Testra iPhone provided by work I suppose!).
The problem with my old phone is that it frequently breaks down needing reset. The battery struggles to last a whole day without a recharge event though I am not using it and the interface is really slow.
I would like to buy a replacement phone that I could use for my '2nd phone'. The priority would be for something with a slick and usable interface that is reliable and has good battery life. Not so interested in cameras, HD screens etc. In October I will probably swap plans to Vaya or Amaysim but as I am not using it much to make calls at the moment the $10 plan is OK.
Any advice on handset/deals would be much apprecited.
