Finding warm sleepwear for Mrs Anderson

Hello again fellow OzBargainers,

Does anybody know where you can get affordable, good quality warm sleepwear? Mrs Anderson hates winter, she thinks 24'C is winter and likes to wear HOT (as in warm) Pjs, a thin yet warm dressing gown and socks, beanies, etc.

So with winter coming, I'm thinking of buying her warm sleepwear, especially a warm dressing gown. Target ones fall apart too easily, after about 20 washes, buttons fall off, holes start appearing. Just wanted something better quality but not too expensive. Who knows, I might even get some brownie points…whatever they are :)

Cheers

You could try http://www.lazypatch.com/. Not really for sleeping in, but great for sitting around in cold weather. I have a few sets myself (duvet suit) and they are really cozy, and as warm as a sleeping bag. They have clearance items if you look for the link on the homepage.

Last night was really cold. I wore thermals under a pair of velour pants and a short dressing gown over the thermal top and 100% wool socks.

Fleece, in particular soral fleece, is the warmest material I know of. I use coral fleese on my bed. There are coral fleece dressing gowns.

For garment care, you should consider NOT putting items in the dryer.

    I HATE HATE winter.

  • Thanks endotherm, they look great. Might even get one for myself!

And voteoften, you read my mind, I was going to edit my post and ask what material I should look for but got distracted by other bargains ;)

Got two clearance duvet suits coming. Tonight's not as bad as last night but the mrs is still wrapped up in a hundred sheets in the corner…

  • I am freezing as hubby likes to have the fan or all windows open even in winter. I just bought this off ebay uk http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/221141152349?var=520117416757&ssP…
Will let u know if they are any good once I get them.

  • Mrs Anderson sounds just like me and I grew up in the UK!
Think about investing in a goosedown duvet if you can cope with the heat from it, or possibly a half-n-half type duvet if you can't.

For serious brownie points think about buying a goose down quilt. I got one for my 40th - and adore it!

Mind you it was around $800 so serious money, I think it was worth it though.
