Eneloop AAA - Cheapest place for (20+) batteries?

I need at least 20+ Eneloop AAA batteries. I've been waiting for a deal but I haven't seen any for AAA recently, just AA.

I can get 32x, inc. delivery, from Amazon for ~$86 or $2.68 each.

Any ideas where the cheapest place, inc delivery, is for 20+ batteries?

  • You can get lsd batteries from hobbyking for cheaper. They're called turnigy and are considered as good as eneloops. Search past ozbargain deals for more info and discussion. (Just search "turnigy" or "hobbyking" in ozbargain).

  • Agree with natman, but with one proviso worth mentioning.
Long-term charge retention on the Turnigy batteries isn't as good as Eneloops (particularly the current generation), but every competitor to Sanyo is in the same boat, with some at bow and some at stern. (It is true that certain brands of 'lsd' batteries are in fact in an adjacent lifeboat to said boat…)
As regards the Turnigys, depending on what devices you intend to use them in it may not be much of an issue. Especially when they're better than half the price.
Upshot Chris is that they are indeed good value, with capacity very much on a par with Eneloops.

Just looked on the Hobbyking website. A dollar each. Depending on just how many over twenty you're looking at, about 10 bucks postage.

  • Thanks. I ended up getting 30x AAA from hobbyking. $42.50 delivered, after Paypal fees, or ~ $1.41 each.

    • You're welcome.
Don't eat them all at once!

  • DSE has these today https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/144000 8 batteries for $19.96
2.50 ea (plus ship). about as cheap as they get for eneloops
