  Still think we need a wiki page or a forum thread for all these. They are starting to clog up the deals page. Not complaining for the effort of posting, just think there could be a better way of doing it.

    Couldn't you just blacklist Amazon for yourself? Or maybe there should be a new e-book category which people can exclude. Wiki or forum pages would need constant editing and people wouldn't check in time.

    I'm mention it yet again for nobody in particular, but there are many sites that track free e-books. However I'm in favour of these posts because they highlight e-books I might have missed because I didn't search that day.

        It's kinda ironic that ever since Amazon thwarted the ability of Aussies to monitor the prices of Kindle books they're interested in through sites like ereaderiq, they seem to be getting record positive karma here.

    Personally, I only visit the freebies page. On that page, there are very few deals to be clogged.

    Just defending myself here, I never said I don't want them or don't want to see them, just that there should be somewhere else for them other than the front page where most end up. Someone suggested an ebook category, that would be cool, even if it was excluded from the front page to remove clutter and it would allow people to browse straight to it or subscribe and save time for all.

  As long as the better way includes the number of reviews and average reviewer rating, so we can save time… otherwise won't have time to read all the books.

    You can click the link and visit the page the book is on to see the review rating. If you're not keen, or if it's a new book with no reviews and you don't want to take the chance, just exit the page. I find dozens of books every day that I could post but I only do a few. Sorting by cheapest on Amazon is simple for people to do themselves if they want a broader view of what's free at the moment.

    I find dozens of books every day that I could post but I only do a few from a range of topics that I think some people may read. And I agree with you about the naysayers just 'moving along'. No one is being forced into opening this post let alone downloading anything! :)

    You could - but then you'd need two sections: one for freebies (hence these are posted in the freebies section) and another for other ebooks that cost (that I presume are posted in other categories that are relevant)…
