Not bad and you can always claim in on your tax return. Found a worthwhile engineering text book, which is usually around the $250 mark, but with the discount comes down to $100. Thanks.

    • you can always claim in on your tax return

not always, only if it directly relates to any income you are earning.

  • Damn.. got me to buy a Powershell book now.

  • at some point in time i tried to collect their paperbacks…. then realised how foolish i was.

  • anyone else getting 'You did not meet the criteria for this discount.' for the code?

    • It worked for me. But, sorry I'm not sure what the criteria is (other than eBooks only).

  • When they say free updates, do they mean within the current edition of the book, or do they mean for full Edition updates as well?

Eg, some programming books are "Blah Blah, 2nd Edition"… when "Blah Blah, 3rd Edition" comes out, is that a free update?

    Ok just read this:

    Bundles and Updates
When you purchase an ebook bundle you get free updates to reflect published changes and corrections.

That would seem to imply updates within the current edition of the book are free, but a full edition update isn't free?

Damnit, I just bought a book + ebook from them last week.

O'Reilly have really good customer service BTW. In the past they have extended deals for me.

  • You can also opt in for a daily e-mail "Deal of the Day", which is 50% off as well.
