Hi guys,
Just thought I would start a Freelander tablet thread since so many of us will be purchasing one from the deal extreme deal. These devices seem to have very minimal support online so any issues, tips, tricks and solutions would be nice if they're all housed under the one location. This would be particularly helpful for android newbies such as myself or even experienced users who have never installed ROMs on their devices.
Also just a fun poll, which devices did you buy?

i got a retina 9.7 one and the exynos t7 clone which should be identical to a real t7
ironically enough i bought a real t7 last week in that mothers day deal so a comparison would fun

Damn right it is. Seems like NOBODY actually is going receive what they ordered. Great marketing DX! Even at 50% off I felt that I was taking a risk ordering some no-name tablet and phone, and I would never consider paying the full price they are asking. But to just cancel peoples' orders like that, without even telling them, that's is pretty low. Never had any trouble with DX before, but in the future I will consider if I can trust them at all.

I've got shipment confirmation on the PD10 .. so to confirm, it's similar to the Hyundai T7, and it would be a safe bet getting a T7 case that will fit the PD10 too?

Wanted to be sure; are the PD80-HD and the PD80 Wise the same unit but just with different names?
…And where might I be able to find some easy to follow instructions for rooting this tablet?

These are different devices. The "HD" denotes the retina-level high definition display and it runs a Allwinner chip /w SGX544.
The PD 80 is a different version. Only has a low resolutio 1024 x 768px pixel display, but it runs Samsung Exynos /w Mali 400 GPU.
My Google-Fu doesn't reveal any clear instructions for rooting or installing custom ROMS. You might have to wait a while and see if someone comes up with a solution.
Thanks scrimshaw for your reply, however my original comparison was between the 'HD' and the 'Wise' models. After some further reading I think they're just the same device under two different names (although please correct me if I missed something)..

Got mine today. Working nicely.
I got my PH20 yesterday (It's a present for my nephew) and the PD10 I ordered has been shipped as well ^_^
Now I'm trying to find a power adapter for the PH20 so I can give it to my nephew for his birthday last week :)
Got mine today, you can charge through the micro USB slot as well.
Got my PD30 last week.. Will attempt to put the latest ROM tonight probably. Anyone put CM10.1 on it yet.

I checked the system info and could match the model PD30R162 to the one on the ROM page. All in Chinese though you could use Google Translate.

For those who bought the PD80HD, please copy and search for the following in the webpage "PD80睿智（2.0）英文版" and click the corresponding link. PD30 uers try "PD30睿智（2.0版本）"
I just received my PD10HD. Wont charge through the power cable or through USB… Anyone else with the same issue or a solution?
Problem solved, the adapter i had was dodgy, used a different one and all good now.
Has anyone found a working solution to gaining root on the PD10?
Anyone know a good place for a screen protector / case for the pd10?
I recieved my PD10-HD but have noticed I only get about 24 hrs charge on it (can watch about 2hr video and web surfing). Is this similar to others. Also when I check es file task manager app it states its a arm 7 dual core not quad core. Also looking to root it but without knowing the exact CPU i'll wait a bit.
