1TB Free Online Storage from FLICKR for photos/videos

Moved to Forum: Original Link

FLICKR has just had an overhaul and as a result any new or existing flickr user will now have 1TB of online storage for pictures/videos.
Not a bad option for photographers looking at having their images backed up online.

They now also allow full resolution uploads

The 1TB is part of their new free plan (with the "pro" plans been ad free, and double storage so 2TB). So not really a deal, but an amazing change from them.

    • Ditto – seems more relevant for the forums

    • doublr (2TB) is $500 per year

  • still free cloud storage…

  • Ok cool

Cool… so on my 100GB internet plan it will take me 10 months to fill! and then if i need to get it back say if my local copy disappears, it will take another 10 months to get it back!

This is best for me, I can stop paying for google storage now…

    • Haven't heard of Google+?

  • But have they made any changes to the amount of bandwidth people get for sharing the photos? I remember this used to be the biggest problem before

    • The old limit was 300MB/day, but so far today I've uploaded nearly 2GB of photos without any trouble.

  • As long as they keep my files as a backup there I do not worry that much about download

  • Should give Google's Picasa a run for their money ;)
