How do I connect my headphone to PS3?

Hi Everyone,

I just moved my ps3 in the bedroom to connect with my monitor, noticed that ps3 has no audio output, is there a way to connect my 3.5mm headphone to the ps3? Thanks.

If possible please provide a link of what to buy, from ebay or wherever.

Thanks so much

First, you'll need to buy this plug.

Use the cable that came with your PS3 that has the red, white and yellow cables. Plug the red and white ones into that plug on one end, plug your headphones into the other end. Leave the yellow cable, that's for video (assuming you are running HDMI you won't need it.)

You may need to go into the 'sound settings' option under the 'settings' tab on your PS3 and change the audio settings so that it will run via RCA/Stereo.

    • thanks bro, one more question, how to adjust the volume if I use this way?

      • use headphones with in-line volume control? that's what i'm doing.
