Metabox W350ET laptop by Clevo - opinion?

I'm looking at buying a [Metabox W350ET laptop by Clevo](Metabox W350ET laptop by Clevo). It seems like a really good price and I like the amount of customisation so I can choose exactly what I want.

15.6" Matte screen
nVidia GeForce GTX 660m 2GB
i7-3630qm 2.4-3.4GHz
120GB SSD Samsung 840
8GB DDR3 1600Mhz RAM
3yr warranty

All this for $1258.

Seems like a good deal to me, what do you think?
Does anyone have a Metabox/Clevo laptop? Would you recommend it?

If you're after raw performance and bang-for-buck then Clevo's one of the best options. However servicing and warranty will depend on which reseller you buy from.

Whirlpool forums should give you plenty of feedback and reviews to read

Yeah, had on for about 4 or 5 months now.

The laptop case itself is very plain (part of the reason I bought it, as I don't like flashy stuff), however it does creak slightly when handled (picking up, for instance) and is not quite up to par in quality to the mainstream brands. I also rest my palms on the computer while touch typing (I know I shouldn't) and found that my right hand falls foul on the edge of the trackpad, inadvertently activating the 'enter' function which was a bit annoying initially until I got used to it.

Otherwise it is a great rig and I use it for the usual web browsing and casual gaming etc. I have the same set up as yours above but with 256gig of SSD and it is very noticeably quicker on start up. I couldn't find anything at the price, with SSD and a fairly decent graphics card at the time.

The great thing about Metabox is that they are custom made as you mentioned and you can change drives, RAM etc without voiding your warranty.

Would I buy another? If the price was better than competitors, yes.
