Park at Lidcombe and catch the sprint train?
They really do go out of their way to make it difficult to park anywhere near olympic park. Presumably to maximise profitability of their carparks.

    • Used this suggestion today, brilliant thank you!

  • depends where in Olympic Park you want to go.
I believe you can park free in Victoria Ave (or thereabouts) in Concord West. You then walk under Homebush Bay Drive to get into Bicentennial park areas, then a bit more of a stroll to the stadiums, etc.

Otherwise, from the other side, Nurmi Ave, Newington is your friend.

Either way, you have to walk some.

    • thank you!

    • thank u so much!

  • Thank you for your suggestions. I'm going to Sydney Showground but with children in tow, just want something easy and close. I know the parking stations are not cheap!

  • There's 2 hour free parking near the overflow and the showground. There is free parking at the Brickpit and Bicentennial Park, though it will be a bit of a walk. There is a sneaky way to get free parking, though… use the visitors parking at one of the businesses at Olympic Park, especially on Parkview Drive.

  • Thank you! that is a helpful. I will attempt to drive around and see what I can find :)
