As some of you may know the Microsoft Surface is being released next week in Australia.
I was really excited for this product last year when it was announced but now it seems that there may be better options out there.
I'm looking for a Win 8 tablet at least 10", 1080 touch screen and not an atom processor.
The two others in noticed in the Lenovo helix and the Samsung ATIV both seem to be more expensive and bulky.
is there anything being released soon that i should hold off for or just preorder like everyone else?

I would also recommend the Surface Pro, but I'd be hesitant to buy it now, with Haswell being released in a week and a half. A Haswell Surface Pro would be awesome, but it may take a while to reach AU.

The Lenovo Helix is a clever device but bulkier than what you're looking for. Haven't handled an ATIV.
MS are also pushing monthly driver updates for the Surface so you'll be well supported buying it. It would be my choice if I didn't already own an Atom Windows-8 tablet.
