$6.00 for 24x Mother 250ml - NQR Boronia Exp May 10th

230

Just found these at my local NQR. Probably about 30 odd slabs located around the store. Past Expiry daye (early May) but still a bargain. Kilsyth store also had the same two weeks ago but no sure if they are still in store.
Drink tastes fine and is dirt cheap, good for a mixer! Also had 4x250ml sugar free for 99c

  • Great price even for expired…

    • Yep, and now that I think about it, they had two or three of these displays around the store so they should have approx 90 cases

It may vary by different store policy (I'm not sure if some is law or policy), but at Woolworths they can (but don't often) sell them, as long as it's not past use by and isn't the month after the best before. So if a cake had a best before of 27 may, they wouldn't sell it, but technically they could until the end of this month.

However, if the cake was use by today, they couldn't sell it even if they wanted to.

we have to learn the difference between 'use by' and 'best before'. the term 'expired' not exactly the same as 'best before'!!

'best before', and then 'not best (but still good) after' certain period, perhaps 1-3 months.
'use by' simply means use max by certain date, and do not consume after that.

if some give neg about NQR deal based on this 'expiry date', why not the health department closes them down?!
