Hi mate, any chance you can remember how you unlock these phones? My kid was just handed one by his grandfather but we're with Optus. Like ieatcrackers, I'm in Melbourne also, but will gladly post some Turkish Delights and a licorice strap :D
Okay, figured it out with DC Unlocker:
- You'll need to create an account on https://www.dc-unlocker.com/buy and buy 7 credits (7 Euros) which can be done securely via Paypal.
- You need to choose "ZTE Phones" with the phone connected to the PC and turned on.
- Then get the application to detect the phone by clicking on the round magnifying glass button
- Use the username you create and the password they supply in the "Sever" part of DC Unlocker.
- Hit the Unlock button and wait less than a minute!

Wont detect my phone (T116a) is it because I need to buy credit first?
Heres what I did
selected ZTE Phone from drop down
then tried auto select as well as mnaully selecting ZTE T116 before hitting the magnyfing glass.

I have just bought this phone from Coles, and do need it unlocked; however, I am in Victoria and the 3456km drive isn't worth the price of the phone. Would you be able to of any assistance in helping me unlock it otherwise?
