    the i9500 is only very very marginally ahead of the i9505 in terms of performance because while the i9500 is OCTA-core, only ONE set of Quad-cores can work at any one time.

    The i9505 has better battery-life and has 4G.

    So all in all, i9505 would be the better purchase.

      My TLDR of it:
      - Performance virtually identical with the 3G/Octa/i9500 version being incrementally faster on synthetic benchmarks but not by a practically perceptible margin.
      - Battery life significantly better on the LTE/Snapdragon/i9505 version.
      - Camera incrementally better on the 3G/Octa/i9500.

      Everything else virtually identical.

    I bought my S2 from Kogan and it was broken just when it was out of warranty, I couldn't send to anywhere. Buying grey import has its risk.

    Purchased. thanks. was waiting on a good deal for a black I9500.
    I decided on the I9500 because its battery life will be better for the way I use a phone. Basically the A7’s are more efficient than the S600. With the I9500 in power saving mode it doesn’t use the A15’s for normal use, phone, web, email, mp3 etc. So it will get better battery life. Note that I haven’t seen a comparison between the two phones that have tested them like that as they mainly like to do stress style tests which is not my normal use.
