  • Reduced by $30. Massive early adopter tax there…
    Was $478 only 4 days ago - http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/105155

Still probably better here - http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/104774.

Still a good price for this device, despite being a bit pricier than the previous JB Hifi price:

As I noted in that previous thread, watch out for magnets (used to attach the Transleeve) installed with incorrect polarity (i.e. the cover will only snap on backwards). It may just have been an issue with that batch from JB, but worth making sure a good returns policy is in place.

Other than that, the performance of the device is great, it's nice and light, brilliant battery life…and it's full-flavour Windows 8.

    • I believe that is the Transleeve issue. Heard people even in Taiwan are having similar issues with the Transleeve. ASUS seems to have admitted it could be a manufacturing flaw. But heard no official from them yet.

On the other hand, heard some people said the transleeve works perfect if it comes with the keyboard. I do not have any experience with the transleeve+keyboard yet, so cant comment on this.

      • Nope, definitely not a Transleeve issue on the unit I had. Swapping the unit at JB Hifi didn't fix the issue - but they happily refunded me, and swapping it over for one from Harvey Norman worked a treat. The sleeve fits perfectly.

Like I said, the device itself is a great bit of kit - and you wouldn't even notice the issue if you didn't try to attach a sleeve.

        • I noticed in Harvey norman is selling transleeve for vivotab rt as well. Are you sure the one you get is for me400c?

They looks similiar and I think they may work as well as they are the same size.
